Review of Dell Inspiron 1100 - C 2.2 GHz - 14.1" TFT by

Advantages: Looks nice
Disadvantages: Runs terrible
...it, not to mention how dell is already having problems with the battery recall, what a mess! I had several conflicts, that take very long to resolve, but thank god I got the extended warranty. My hard drive, ethernet port, who knows what else, has all been replaced. They send several technicians over, next thing i know my laptop is in and, what a mess. I hope I told you enough so that you will not buy this product, for indeed I wish I hadn't! ...

Not very Inspiron
Review of Dell Inspiron 1100 - C 2.2 GHz - 14.1" TFT by
Anrol
Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Heavy, prone to faults in cd writer
I've had my Inspiron 1100 for 16 months and at first was really pleased with it. It was certainly a bit heavy, but I didn't need to carry it very often and it was one of the cheapest laptops around.
Just outside of warranty, it started to play up - not booting up properly saying that a device in the system modular bay wasn't installed correctly. This was caused by a loose fitting cd writer and happens at least three times a day. It's not just that ...

Many problems arise over time
Review of Dell Inspiron 1150 2.6Ghz by
fredthebest2003
Advantages: good processor, good expandability of memory
Disadvantages: low battery life, heavy, fragility of some components, rubbish internal graphics, overheats
I bought this laptop in 2004 for around £600. i have to say at the time it came with what i thought were a lot of good features, including a wireless internet card, room for up to 2gb of ram, and a durable and fast Celeron processor, but over time it has showed itself up on various occasions. i have to replace the power cord TWICE and the power jack once due to them both being very unreliable and fragile. these were quite costly to fix. £80 for the ... ...i have noticed that it overheats very quickly especially when used on your lap. it gets very hot and slows down, despite my best efforts to keep the vents free from obstruction. Thirdly the buttons on my touchpad have become pressed permanently in to the frame of the computer, even though i have not been rough with them. I wouldnt recommend this laptop to be taken around with you a lot because it is very very heavy, and the battery life is under ...
