Dell XPS M-2010
Review of Dell Inspiron XPS M2010 by frode123

Advantages: Easy to upgrade, 2x HD, 4xGB
Disadvantages: Heavy, Large

I needed a Laptop that could give me the experince of a Tabletop. And this Computer gave it all and more. The screen is exelent, you can have 2 hard drives installed, in Raid 0 or as 2 disks. The keyboard, the feature with the touch pad is great. You can sit in the sofa and use the mouse directly on the keyboad while the laptop is on the table. I have used this laptop for about 7 month's now, I love it. The battery is really good compared to ...
...I installed 2 Gb Ram in mine, because of Windows Vista. Dont like 1 GB. This is recommended.... The sound on this laptop is one of the best things I have ever heard on a laptop. You will not need external speakers to listen to music or watch a movie. If you want to use this laptop as a home entertainment system, no problem, you have all the outputs you will need and the touch pad on the laptop it self gives you the posibillity to change songs/videos/volum ... Game Machine
Review of Dell XPS M1730 by majeedkazi

Advantages: games
Disadvantages: No Blue ray disc, HD Video etc

A huge beast you can say for this laptop which is bascially made for Games which is what i feel. It has XPS logos which glows the touch pad which has red lights you can change the colors, It has a huge keyboard with lot of functions, 17 inch wide screen and plus it also has a 2 megapixel builtin webcam. It is very highly priced, and it does give resoultion but which in turns make the icons small so you need to stress your eyes sometime to read, ...
...ray disc option, if you want it then you pay more for it, which is again asking for some more. It also not good for HD Videos. It has Core 2 Duo T7500 and 2gb Memory which is enough for your work and 200gb hard disk space to store all your work, games & files etc. there is no nuilt in tuner card so you have to again pay for it to get it. This machine is good for games but its not worth paying this money only for playing games when it does not have ... Read review

Worlds most desirable, hi-performance laptop? !!
Review of Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook E8410 - Core 2 Duo T7300 2 GHz - 15.4" TFT by gtsang123

Advantages: Style, high performance, biometrics, fast bootup, extremely high specs
Disadvantages: Heavy @ 2.6kg, MSOffice 2007 provided is trial version

Wow. We first came across this baby while looking for a laptop for a friend of mine, while in Hong Kong. There were a couple of notable changes: - there was a promotion, which upgraded the RAM to 3GB. - the promotion also threw in what it calls an HD-TV USB stick, which turns out to be a digital tv tuner. It is HD (High-Definition) - as long as you can output it (e.g. on an HD TV screen!) We were told that this was the only brand being sourced ...
...tested the machine prior to buying it of course, and we added a couple of extras - mainly MS Office 2007 and a bluetooth mouse (which we won't cover, as they were additional). In short: - The laptop came well-packaged and suspended in polystrene - When logging in, you can use a password - or you can use your fingerprint! Put your finger on the biometric scanner, and it logs you in! Awesome! - The keyboard is responsive and the keys have the right ... Read review

Good solid business laptop
Review of Dell Vostro 1500 by supermushroom

Advantages: Cheap, mean little machine
Disadvantages: Heavy, non-linux compatable

...just the best buy and Dell are known to be a respectable no frills brand which helped. It's worth noting that my Dell came with a lot of bundled software, slowing it down slightly. It was a litttle trouble to format a new laptop and install the drivers again, but the machine has been satisfactory ever since! The ram seems to work well, the hardware (bluetooth, wireless, DVD, Webcam etc) are top quality and are well integrated to work with each other. ...
...fully linux compatable yet, since i tried booting it up with Kubuntu, and unsuccessfully tried to get all the hardware to work for 4 months. It was okay though, just double check if you plan to use linux (you're better off going for a linux-ready dell). Also, it's meant for small businesses which means it's a little heavy and not the best machine for you to lug it around everywhere (especially if you're a student!). Having said that, i don't have ... Read review

Dell Latitude D830
Review of Dell Latitude D830 by lillilmike

Advantages: Security, Speed, Easy to travel with.
Disadvantages: Once some settings are change theres no going back.

I own this Dell Latitude D830 it is a very fast, very reliable piece of equipment. It has dual core so its pretty good for gaming also with a very good video card. I wouldn't recommend it for the highest newest games but its very good to get you playing some of the recent games. It runs all sorts of O.S. so thats a plus. Compatible with most software. It can hold up to 4 gigs of ram. Easy lite weight, goof for the average business man and or student. ...
...items. Comes with some good dell utilities too. Such as blue tooth, secure storage, embassy security, and also my favorite a TRACKER. So if it is ever lost or stolen you can call tell and they can track it down. So all in all its a very good piece of equipment. I recommend it ! ... Read review
