VAIO WOW
Review of Sony VAIO N38Z/W - Core 2 Duo T5500 1.66 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
im_not_batman
Advantages: Performance, Style
Disadvantages: Price
I bought this lap top for use in conjuction with my webiste which I have been running for several years now and find it extremely good at the tasks I perform on it.
This laptop is stylish, modern and lightweight compared to my apple which sadly broke down.
The battery life, which I was advised was excellent for a machine of this stature, is really good which is important for me to keep track of orders and finance when away from my main PC.
I had ... ...the responsiveness of the mouse which, when it was new, was amazingly good.
It came pre-installed with Microsoft Word and all the other software you'd expect.
As I use specialist software for my work, this was installed with great ease and works a treat everytime.
I find it easy to attach peripherals and other such items when I need to and these too are really easy to install etc as per manufactuer's guidelines.
I have absolutely no regrets buying ...

One for the January Sales: F is for Fabulous.
Review of Sony VAIO FZ21Z - Core 2 Duo T7500 2.2 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
piratess2104
Advantages: Powerful, Good-sized screen, excellent range of ports, sturdy.
Disadvantages: Disappointing camera, fiddly USB ports, a bit overpriced.
...neuroses drove me insane. The Sony and I are still very much in love.
I could rhapsodise about its superior specs. I will, but not for long. He (er, why yes, it has a gender), comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 processor, with a Bus Speed of 800MHz, a Cache of 4MB and, since I upgraded, a 4GB memory. The hard drive comes in at 300GB with 4200 rpm. In plain English, it's All You'll Ever Need.
The screen is a 15.4" WXGA Widescreen Active Matrix ... ...though.
In conclusion, the Sony VAIO FZ21Z is a powerful, capable laptop that's almost worth the price. Hang on and get one in a sale, and you'll probably save some money. I should say that I have read a couple of negative reviews of this model, but I enjoy it and would recommend it to anyone. ...

Don't ask me what this means if you don't know this is what the guy at the store told me he scared me into buying it with all those big words.
... ...As well as built-in wireless and all the usual connectors, including an HDMI port for outputting 1080i to an HD TV.
I love this feature I can connect it to my HD TV and watch movies it looks great.
The RAM is a bit low according to Crucial but I'm getting an 'upgrade kit' "i.e. 2x1GB sticks" I must find out how to install that before it comes

Review of Sony VAIO FZ18L - Core 2 Duo T7100 1.8 GHz - 15.4" TFT by

Advantages: Loads really
Disadvantages: Too much bundled software and DIY support disks
...Sony. I've got a Sony phone, Sony TVs, Sony games consoles (I own the PS 1, 2 and 3 as well as the PSP) and now the Sony Vaio.
I've had a bit of a love affair with the Vaio since I went to Amsterdam in 2000 for a conference/expo and our main server that our demonstration was controlled by went west. We had to use a Vaio as the backup server and it actually did better than the dedicated server. At the time I was using a friends, but last year I got ... ...that the weight increases, but Sony have really done a good job in pulling this one off.
Now looking cool, being light and having a decent spec is useless if the usability of the machine is totally pants. I'm very pleased to say that it isn't. One of my pet hates is typing on a laptop keyboard and I generally tend to cart around an external keyboard with me. The keyboard on the Vaio is well constructed and has a short travel distance (how far in ...
