Review of Sony VAIO AR51SU - Core 2 Duo T7700 2.4 GHz - 17" TFT by techno_man_37

Advantages: so much features
Disadvantages: the price

This Sony vaio AR51SU is yet another laptop from the Sony vaio range, and also another fantastic laptop from this range. It takes the newest of technology, and the brand new designs from Sony, and puts it all into one laptop which functions just as good as it looks. This laptop is pretty much customised for all your media uses. This is one of the reasons it comes with windows vista ultimate installed on it. This means you get a lot more software ...
...roxio easy media creator 9, Sony click to DVD, windvd and Sony sonic stage mastering studio 2.4. This laptop also comes with a couple of Photoshop programs too, these are great for editing all your photos on and usually cost over £100 to buy, so as you can see all of these programs added up defiantly come to more than the actual laptop price in itself. This laptop is also fantastic for playing games on, its NVIDIA geforce 8600M GT graphics processor ... Read review

Sony VAIO AR51E Review
Review of Sony VAIO AR51E - Core 2 Duo T7250 2 GHz - 17" TFT by ElistheG

Advantages: 17" Screen, Awesome Specs and a built in webcam
Disadvantages: Too much bundled software and it's also quite heavy.

...Software- 9/10 As usual Sony has bundled a lot of software with the AR51E including Adobe Photoshop Elements, Adobe Premiere Elements and VAIO Camera Capture Utility, so you can capture videos and images using your built in webcam. The downside of this is that a lot of the software won't be used and in all it takes up about 12GB of your harddrive. The OS of this laptop is Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium. Portability- 7/10 As far as ...
...the VAIO is weighed down by it's 17" screen. Value- 8.5/10 At around £900 new these laptops aren't cheap, but for such a high spec laptop and the fact that it's made by a top brand like Sony, I think it's worth the money. Overall- 9.5/10 The Vaio AR51E may not be cheap, but it's a truly awesome laptop, with a 200GB HDD, 2GBRAM and Dual Core Processor, as well as the 17" screen the VAIO makes for optimum computing, while its not the type ... HP DV6599 Special Edition - Good All Rounder
Review of HP Pavilion Media Center dv6599ea Special Edition Entertainment - Core 2 Duo T7300 2 GHz - 15.4" TFT by marcus997

Advantages: Features, size and design
Disadvantages: Not good enough for gaming

...me. As a fan of HP products, I chose from the DV6500 range available at the time. This laptop had every spec I required for both using as a station for university assignments, as well as home use for music, film and gaming. Firstly, the design is eye-catching. I was bored of looking at the generic black or grey and thought the white anti-scratch surface was ideal. The laptop is also quite light and the absense of a locking clip meant there was less ...
...more than my money's worth! HP also frequently offer discounts so it's always worth checking to see what deals are to be had. As well as the remote control that is stored away when not in use, another of my favourite features is the fingerprint reader. When you use the internet on a frequent basis, remembering usernames and passwords can be frustrating. For anyone who hops from website to website, I'd highly recommend this feature. Thankfully I ... Does an excellent job for most day to day tasks
Review of Toshiba Equium A200-26D - Core 2 Duo T5450 1.66 GHz - 15.4" TFT by s32bauer

Advantages: Good looks, most basic equipment you would need, able to handle most programs
Disadvantages: Not suitable for games, some aspects feel cheap

...However, I will warn that Toshiba have placed quite a lot of branding on the software. The Toshiba wallpaper is easy to get rid of, but there are numerous 'memory eating' programs that Toshiba claim to help your laptop - they do nothing worthwhile. Certainly nothing that Windows can't do better. Separate programs for controlling the touch pad aren't required, and uninstalling all of this non-essential software frees up storage space and memory. ...
...ethernet port for my internet, and have had no issues with either. The ethernet is very straight forward plug and play, and connects to your ISP in seconds. The display is extremely crisp and sharp, and the brightness can be changed to suite your needs (and energy consumption). On the subject of energy consumption, this laptop isn't too bad compared to some I have used. I can run my laptop in high performance mode using wireless LAN for internet, ... Read review

Acceptable Toshiba.
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro A200 by AmenTeen

Advantages: Speed, comfortabe, cheap.
Disadvantages: No webcam built-in.

The Toshiba brand has always been noted with mass gratitude for solid and robust piece-of-art laptops and particularity, the Satellite Pro A200 is not an odd exception, not a disappointment. The Satellite Pro offers Intel new processor technology as far as concerned. This advantage gives the user open options for use of softwares and applications compatible with the new technology of duo-core. Still the duo-core processors are robust, at least 1.5GHZ ...
...users. This notebook has its Toshiba manufactured hard disk, well known for being solid and long life. The design of coated screen is classic and gives a great look with the new windows vista interface. The touchpad is just a tad too small given all the unutilised space above the keyboard where the speakers and quick launch buttons live. The left hand side of the chassis houses your video options with VGA and S-Video out, Ethernet port, two USB ... Read review
