Esprimo...Not So Bad As People Make Out!
Review of Fujitsu Siemens ESPRIMO Mobile V5535 - Celeron M 530 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by Luke180

Advantages: Sleek And Robust!
Disadvantages: Not Good For Gaming!

I brought this laptop and was very satisfied with it. There are some positives and some negatives to the product. I will start with the disadvantages. It is not as fast as a laptop which has an Intel Core Duo Processor as this product contains a Intel Celeron M. a Core Duo means it can do the 2 things at the same time at the same speed 1 thing would be done on the equivalent Celeron M. I went to get this changed in mine to a Core Duo but it cannot ...
...so please be aware before you buy to get the one that you would like. Also the video card is not good and on the Windows Opta Index Rating it is given 1.0 which is poor and again in this computer cannot be updated unless at a higher cost than a new laptop. Again seriously consider! The battery life is very poor on this machine on high performance it last only 1 Hour and 3 Minutes. There are many advantages to the product with its sleek design ... A great laptop
Review of Fujitsu Siemens ESPRIMO Mobile V5515 - Celeron M 520 1.6 GHz - 15.4" TFT by ilauuk

Advantages: Price, spec
Disadvantages: Unknown durability

This laptop has been selling pretty cheaply at Ebuyer recently. I'd like to say a few things that I feel are important to know about this laptop before buying it. Firstly, the spec is more than up to running 95% of programs in common use today. The dual core processor means that you get 2 processors for the price of one, effectively. The one problem that it has, which many cheaper laptops share, is that it comes with limited memory. However, in ...
...easy to buy an upgrade fairly cheaply, at £14 from Ebuyer. This upgrade sped up the computer quite significantly. Overall, the computer runs well and for the time being seems to be OK. The main downside to using this laptop is that I worry that it will break down on me because it's not made by a manufacturer known for good quality ... Read review

Macbook: The Only Choice
Review of Apple MacBook Core 2 Duo 2.1 GHz - 13.3" TFT by chids

Advantages: Looks, Simplicity, Works out-of-the-box, battery life, power
Disadvantages: Case feels a little cheap, Screen attracts fingerprints

...Macbook was purchased direct from Apple and took just two days to arrive. And, as promised, it worked straight out of the box. I just pressed power filled out my user details and i was going. The setup hooked me onto my wireless internet and i was away. The first thing that struck me was the size of the thing, it's only slightly thicker than an average sized hardback notepad and weighs just over 2 kg, in other words it's a perfect size. Before the ...
...is very clean and crisp. Apple really has gone above and beyond with this one, it's perfect. The 13,3 inch glossy screen is great for watching movies. Just a note for skeptical readers: the glossy screen rarely (if ever) reflects anything in the background. When it comes to using the Macbook in a brightly lit area or outside there is less reflection than there would be on a Matte display. Battery life on the Macbook. Is better than almost all other ... The Good and the Bads of the Toshiba Equium A60
Review of Toshiba Equium A60-155 - Celeron D 335 2.8 GHz - 15" TFT by chrisattrill

Advantages: Cheap, Reliable, Run up to date games.
Disadvantages: Heavy, Slow, Battery

The Toshiba Equium A60, is a cheap, and reliable laptop. It can do the basic commands of oppening Microsoft Office to a harder command of running the most up to date games. The A60 is quite old now, and I was worried at first that it may not be able to run Flight Simulator X. In the end the game works fine. The spec is good aswell, if you have got alot of files then you may need to buy and external hard drvie for extra storage. Then there is the ...
...portable. Also if you have got lots of programs then the laptop may be slow and most of the time the laptop will not be able to run more then three or four major programs. Also the battery is not very good; infact it is rubbish. But as long you have got the charger in the laptop you should be ok and it should not be a problem. Over all its a good "student" laptop, and the price you pay is the price you get! I paid £230 for this laptop, but i'm sure ... Read review

A good budget laptop
Review of Dell Inspiron 1525 by Rich444

Advantages: Looks nice, works well, some nice added touches
Disadvantages: A few build and technical issues

...know, an unusual thing with Dell is that they only sell laptops online, and all products can be fully customised to meet your specifications. For around £329 you can buy the base level specifications of an Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor T1400(1.73Ghz), 2Gb RAM and a 120Gb hardrive. More than sufficient for an entry level laptop. However these specifications can be customised up to a 2Ghz processor, 4GB RAM and a massive 250Gb hardrive. This would ...
...add-ons include a built in 2MP webcam (£20 extra), a larger capacity battery and a Truelife (glossy finished) screen. For the purpose of the review, my laptops specs are: 2.00Ghz Processor, 3Gb RAM and 120Gb Hardrive. I have the built in webcam, and the plain matte screen. Physical Features The Inspiron is a sophisticated looking laptop, despite being a little bit on the bulky side. Its dimensions are 14.05"x10.08"x1.0-1.48" (its wedged shaped) ... Read review
