Fujitsu Siemens Amilo A 7640
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO A 7640 - Mobile Sempron 3000+ 1.8 GHz - 15" TFT by laurs19

Advantages: Stylish, Lightweight
Disadvantages: Slow for gaming

I bought this laptop a little less than a year ago from Comet for the princely sum of £699. I had shopped around for a long time and after visiting lots of websites and comparing what spec you could get for what price I felt this laptop was the best value. Also, i need to take it into Uni so it was important that it wasn't too heavy and it was also one of the slimmest and lightest laptops in its price range. Its also a pretty snazzy and stylish looking ...
...very good to type on unlike other laptops I have had or used and I can honestly say that I find it as easy to type on as a normal desktop keyboard. One thing I found annoying was the touchpad-because of the way I type my hand kept brushing off the touchpad and I would then look up at the screen and realise I had inadvertently moved the cursor and was typing on a totally different part of the page!! This however is fixable by either disabling the ... Read review

Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO A1630 - Athlon 64 3000+ - 15.4" TFT by china_wolf

Advantages: Flippin' fast! Futureproofed big time, wide screen, good design
Disadvantages: Price may put you off

...by respectable company partnerships of Fujitsu and Siemens, this laptop has some good quality reputable companies backing it up. If you have read my previous reviews, you would know I am a PC lover. Therefore when I purchased this laptop, I simply had to have the best one. No cutting corners for me oh no, the full whack and then some! So that means the laptop model I am reviewing here is the fastest one your money can get. Cheaper ones are available ...
...the model name changed from Fujitsu Siemens to Tiny? Man... are they running out of suppliers in China or something? There is faster laptop I just discovered being released by Alienware sporting hardware you woul;d only find on desktop PCs. Damn... already my 'fastest laptop' dream has been shattered... ... M1330
Review of Dell XPS m1330 by stonecoldkevster

Advantages: Speed
Disadvantages: Crashes sometimes

How do Dell keep doing this, another amazing laptop for people like me to enjoy. This laptop can have an immensive amount of RAM and Hard Drive put in to it and you can also change colour and pattern to severel differant ones. Has a security fingerprint check to get in the laptop or/and in laptop files. Now that is technology so if any one steals it they wont be able to get on it! Also is designed for storing pictures and movies and games and ... Read review

Not a great traveller, but a good mate...
Review of Acer TravelMate 7520-402G16Mi - Turion 64 X2 TL-58 1.9 GHz - 17" TFT by readie25

Advantages: Well-presented, feature-packed laptop
Disadvantages: A touch slow for modern gaming

The Acer Travelmate series come generally very well-equipped to be competent laptop computers for the modern age, and the 7520 is no exception. Using the same Turion 64x2 that is quite standard in its Travelmate range, the 7520 is quick to boot; the 2GB of RAM is quite sufficient for multimedia applications such as watching DVDs - well provided for by a very able DVD drive and a very nicely presented, clear screen. As well as this, the product is ...
...for long periods, with a great touchpad. However, the screen is quite easily scratched and the battery life is really rather poor - typically you can expect approximately 80 mins on 'high performance', or longer on the more frugal but less useful 'balanced' and 'power saver' options. A great value laptop, and a very good buy ... Read review
