Cheep and cheerful
Review of HP 510 - Celeron M 360 1.4 GHz - 15.4" TFT by Dazzlin_uk

Advantages: Cheep laptop, resonable quality
Disadvantages: Spend a little more, get a faster laptop

I have been using this laptop for a couple of months and I think, for the money, this is an exceptional piece of equipment. My couple of gripes are long charging time, the right mouse button feels loose, it now takes a very long time to boot up (it was fine new and I have not added much software) and a very limiting hard drive. Also, this unit comes with 512mb ram but can only be upgraded to a max 1gb and uses special ram chips that need to be ordered ... Read review

HP 530 - Core Duo T2050 1.6 GHz - 15.4" TFT
Review of HP 530 - Core Duo T2050 1.6 GHz - 15.4" TFT by richooooo

Advantages: Cheap,Fast,Sleek
Disadvantages: Size,Ram,Lid Scratches Easily

...The main things th HP have done wrong is they have only put 512 DDR2 in to this laptop and i think that this is not enough for windows vista to run smoothly, would be ok for Windows Xp .After a few days i upgraded the memory of the laptop to 2gb ddr2 this is very easy and was cheap only £30. After i did this the laptop was perfect. The touch pad is made from the same plastic the case and i think it is very good. The Graphics are Intel GMA 950 with ...
...it also failed using the HP Backup Software,Worked perfect when tryiing to copy music disk. The Lid on my laptop has got 2 scratches after only 2 month of using. One more problem i have found with this laptop is that the power cable is in the wrong place always seems to be in the way. i would reccomend getting this laptop if you are on a tight budget and if you are not botherd about the size of the laptop(would reccomend Ram Upgrade). ... basic home use - fantastic
Review of HP 530 - Core Duo T2600 2.16 GHz - 15.4" TFT by megan86

Advantages: looks good, light enough weight,
Disadvantages: lesser memory hence upgrade needed

system runss fast enough with 2.16 ghz processor which is duo core. It has a 120 g hard drive and 1 g memory. Have found that system spec is sufficient just for bsic use. I wul say that though i will be having to upgrade my memory shortly due to intrnet usage and the system running vista have notced and ahev been advised also that vista does use much more ram and hard drive than tht of xp and millenium so 2 g is what is usually advised. Viewing sites ...
...slowed down a little, but only because an upgrade on the ram is needed. Is a good machine for home usage, burning dvds and internet usage. Wouldnt advise as a gaming or business machine. however only an upgrade on the mempry and hard drive would be neded for business. The machine currently has shared graphics so wouldnt b the best machine for gaming. ... Read review

Long review for well built laptop
Review of HP Compaq Business Notebook 6710b - Core 2 Duo T7300 2 GHz - 15.4" TFT by hauran

Advantages: very good ergonomy and good display
Disadvantages: loud cooler

...BASIC DESCRIPTION ------------------------------------------------- HP Compaq 6710b has got traditionall conservative design. Characteristic is black and dark grey color and square shape. Design is simple without specialities and extravagancies. Somebody can call this design as a square black boxes, but some people like this design much more than the futuristic new models of a competition. The chasi is exemplary well manufactured. Cover of display ...
...side (as is usual for HP i think) is not power connector, but there are LAN, VGA output, TV out as a S-Video. On the right side are from the rear analog modem, optics mechanic and two USB ports. These USB are better on the back side because when I connect something to the right i got a problem because on the right i usually have external mouse. Up from the USB ports is a card reader for SD, MMC, MS/Pro, XD and card inside always overreaches. On ... Read review

Great Laptop
Review of HP Compaq Business Notebook 6715b - Turion 64 X2 TL-60 2 GHz - 15.4" TFT by benjis_mum

Advantages: Stylish, easy to use
Disadvantages: USB ports in an awkward place

I've had this laptop for about six months now and have had no problems at all, it handles my eBay business with ease. It is quick, easy to use and looks great. The keyboard and touchpad are very good quality, the fingerprint sensor is an ingenious touch and the screen is very clear. The battery lasts a good 2-2.5 hours on full charge with some tweaks to the settings and charges up quickly. The only thing I would say I don't like is the position of ...
...much easier to have the two on the right at the back as it does hamper using a traditional mouse somewhat. I love the addition of an SD card reader as it makes life much easier for uploading photographs. The processor lives up to expectations and the hard disk is big enough for most people's needs. I recommend it whole-heartedly. ... Read review
