Review of HP 530 - Core Duo T2050 1.6 GHz - 15.4" TFT by richooooo

Advantages: Cheap,Fast,Sleek
Disadvantages: Size,Ram,Lid Scratches Easily

...The main things th HP have done wrong is they have only put 512 DDR2 in to this laptop and i think that this is not enough for windows vista to run smoothly, would be ok for Windows Xp .After a few days i upgraded the memory of the laptop to 2gb ddr2 this is very easy and was cheap only £30. After i did this the laptop was perfect. The touch pad is made from the same plastic the case and i think it is very good. The Graphics are Intel GMA 950 with ...
...it also failed using the HP Backup Software,Worked perfect when tryiing to copy music disk. The Lid on my laptop has got 2 scratches after only 2 month of using. One more problem i have found with this laptop is that the power cable is in the wrong place always seems to be in the way. i would reccomend getting this laptop if you are on a tight budget and if you are not botherd about the size of the laptop(would reccomend Ram Upgrade). ... basic home use - fantastic
Review of HP 530 - Core Duo T2600 2.16 GHz - 15.4" TFT by megan86

Advantages: looks good, light enough weight,
Disadvantages: lesser memory hence upgrade needed

system runss fast enough with 2.16 ghz processor which is duo core. It has a 120 g hard drive and 1 g memory. Have found that system spec is sufficient just for bsic use. I wul say that though i will be having to upgrade my memory shortly due to intrnet usage and the system running vista have notced and ahev been advised also that vista does use much more ram and hard drive than tht of xp and millenium so 2 g is what is usually advised. ...slowed down a little, but only because an upgrade on the ram is needed. Is a good machine for home usage, burning dvds and internet usage. Wouldnt advise as a gaming or business machine. however only an upgrade on the mempry and hard drive would be neded for business. The machine currently has shared graphics so wouldnt b the best machine for gaming. ... Read review

HP Compaq nx7300 - Good for business
Review of HP Compaq Business Notebook nx7300 - Core 2 Duo T5500 1.66 GHz - 15.4" TFT by ThePsychicBuzzard

Advantages: Great overall build quality, great screen, it's fast enough for you old man
Disadvantages: Not much memory, dull looks aren't going to wow the ladies (never stopped me!)

I've recently been able to test this laptop as my stepdad has received one through his work. It's the first time I have seen an HP/Compaq laptop, but I've used many other brands so I'll be mainly using them as a comparison. At first glance, the laptop has a very ordinary design, but when you pick it up you quickly appreciate the build quality. It is quite light, and yet very sturdy, and feels like it could happily take a few knocks ( lucky as my ...
...the keyboard, it feels great to type on and there is no "give" like my own current laptop ( an Acer Ferrari ). The touchpad feels ok but I've never been a big fan of these, so I think I'd stick to my trusty mouse. One thing I was really impressed with is the screen. Although the resolution isn't great for the 15.4" screen, the brightness was amazing. I was able to use it outside in a field on a bright sunny day wihout hassle. Also while in this ... Read review

NC 6320
Review of HP Compaq Business Notebook nc6320 - Core Duo T2500 2 GHz - 15" TFT by steveyork2008

Advantages: fast, durable
Disadvantages: not the lightest ever built,

...writing this review on a HP nc6320 laptop and it is possibly one of the best buys I have made. Its quick, portable, full of power and the battery life lasts for ages. I am currently using it with Windows XP Pro but would probably recommend vista as this laptop easily has the capacity to run it. Due to my interest in the computer world i was looking into upgrading the laptop as the 1GB RAM I thought would need improving after a while. For less than ... Read review
