Decent all rounder, ideal for Students
Review of Toshiba Tecra A9 by dmilligan935

Advantages: Very Durable
Disadvantages: Processor a little small

A laptop that is hugely durable, i have taken it on many business trips, and it has survived in my luggage bags with merely a few scrapes on the outer casing, would definitely recommend this to a user that travels alot. I find that the battery lasts for around 1 hour and 45 mins but don't keep it in the charger all the time because i have noticed that it does shorten the battery life. The laptop is very user friendly, with easy access for any maintenance ...
...quite a good pickup range. I find that this laptop is best used for word processing etc and it weaknesses is dealing with multimedia applications such as photoshop, dream weaver etc, the processor just cant seem to handle programs like these., other than that it is a good all round laptop and ideal price for students. ... Toshiba Satellite Pro L40-17H Review
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro L40-17H - Pentium Dual Core T2330 1.6 GHz - 15.4" TFT by bexac

Advantages: large memory, fast, easy to use, great value for money
Disadvantages: none

I've recently purchased this laptop after my previous one broke and i'm very pleased with it. As a student, i needed a laptop that was simple to use to get my work done and this was it. Compared to my old laptop, this one is much faster, simple to use, typing is easier, the quality of the sound is excellent, its a relatively slim laptop and the impressive widescreen makes all the difference. I can find no fault with it. I also play games on this ... Read review

From my life with Toshiba Satellite Pro L 100
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro L100 - Core Duo T2300E 1.66 GHz - 15" TFT by justuke

Advantages: Great look, Comfortable, Easy to use, Not overcrowded
Disadvantages: Looks older than it is, Some new techs are missing, low quality screen

I love my Toshiba for simplicity and light design. There aren't any unuseful things here. However, as from Toshiba I expected more hi-tech and more original ideas in design. No Microsoft Office in it - cruel! All hardware is less reliable, than it is imagined. Lots of bugs, although not very influential ones. I like keypad a lot - very comfortbale, easy to adopt and soft. Typing with silence, less mistakes. Could be faster, but it spreading kind ... Read review

Good general laptop
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro A210-1B1 - Turion 64 X2 TL-58 1.9 GHz - 15.4" TFT by mrs_mccartney

Advantages: Sturdy, practical, does its job well.
Disadvantages: Not a good entertainment centre, terrible battery life.

...laptops and he told me Toshiba is the one brand he never sees being returned. There's not lots of features although it comes with Premium Home Vista as opposed to Basic which some laptops in the same price bracket have instead of it. Battery life is appalling, about an hour if you do not plug it in, and this is very disappointing. On the plus side, it is very hardy as I have bashed it around and dropped it being clumsy and nothing is broken!! ... Read review
