Acer Aspire 1680 - the best laptop ever!
Review of Acer Aspire 1680 by
glward_1213
Advantages: Very fast after five years, very robust.
Disadvantages: Screen quality isn't amazing.
I don't really know that much about computers, so this review is from a completely technologically retarded person, but I'm sure there are other people out there that are the same!
I have had this laptop over four years now, and the laptop itself is five years old, and it is still going strong. This laptop is fantastic, it has served me so well, and hopefully will keep on doing so! I have filled it with a lot of rubbish, and still it works as fast ... ...haven't had a single problem with it in all the time that I have had it. I have dropped it, kicked it, banged it and split things on it over the last four years, and it still works, and doesn't look any worse for all the abuse it has had. It copes with me simultaneously researching on the internet, writing up documents, storing pictures and so on. My only complaint is that the screen quality isn't amazing, but unless you want to use it for graphic ...

Acer 2929 T5450 12" Screen
Review of Acer Aspire 2920 by
smifo
Advantages: Genuinely portable, VFM
Disadvantages: None as yet
...hrs of real use. The Acer software seems easy to use and useful. I read in a review that the keyboard area looks like a kids toy, I think that's a bit harsh but i can see what they mean. Funny to think a few years ago you'd struggle to get a laptop with a screen bigger than 14", and now you pay a premium to get one with a screen smaller than 14"! Anyway, overall very pleased and would recommend. ...

Not Something to Aspire To
Review of Acer Aspire 3000 by
DavidJWest
Advantages: Cheap and reasonable specs.
Disadvantages: Unreliable/.
The Acer Aspire is, or more accurately was, a basic entry-level laptop. I say was as you probably can't buy one new any more, but this may be useful for someone buying one second-hand.
I bought my Acer for simple tasks such as browsing the net etc, I have a powerful desktop PC that I use for game playing etc and so I was happy to buy a cheap and low-spec laptop such as the Acer.
Specifications:
The laptop has a 15 inch screen which is fairly small ... ...~~~~~~~~~
I bought my Acer back in September 2005 for £450 as I wanted a cheap laptop that I could use mainly for going on the internet and playing some basic games.
This laptop was fine for that, it struggled a little bit when I tried to do too many things at once, such as surf the net and play a game at the same time, but in general it handled everything I threw at it without too many complaints. It was easy to setup and I was using it within ...

Review of Acer Aspire 3692WLMi - Celeron M 420 - 15.4" TFT by
alexjwalker12
Advantages: 1gb Ram, Silver look
Disadvantages: weak casing, low battery life
I bought this laptop from comet mid november and it is one of the best pieces of equipment i have bought. Even though the casing is quite weak, the look is fantastic and the overall speed of the pc is WOW! That 1gb Ram really does boost the speed and was surely a big change from the pc i used last, which only had 256mb ram and 800mhz celeron processor. The Windows XP Media Centre 2005 Operating System is surely worth the money you pay, and is perfect ...

why acer are outselling dell
Review of Acer Aspire 4920-1A2G12Mi - Core 2 Duo T5250 1.5 GHz - 14.1" TFT by
techno_man_37
Advantages: cheap, great spec
Disadvantages: could have better processor
Acer is a company that’s growing stronger and stronger by the day, a few years ago I wouldn’t have even considered buying an acer, but now acer are starting to over take dell in laptop sales and its mostly down to their fair prices, as well as their great build quality. Sure dell might still make better laptops, but acer are more the peoples laptop brand offering lots of variety at affordable prices.
This so called gemstone design is ... ...its clearly a design that acer has come up with and kept, and it clearly represents their company. a lot of laptops from other manufacturers just look the same as others and you cant tell what brand they are, this however, much like the look of apples imacs you can tell they belong to which company.
Only weighing 2.7 kg this is quite good for taking on the move as well. It also has a 2.5 hour battery life, which is pretty good but if you do want ...
