I purchased an ACER ASPIRE 3693WLMi in June 2007 which came loaded with MSN Vista Home Basic. The start-up took a very long time as did shutdown.Simple commands also took ages to complete. When trying to install MSN Messenger various messages came up from both Acer Security and MCN Security which prevented it but the messages were not consistant.After a long time trying it started to run then froze.Acer assistance sent a patch which made the installation ...
...The advice I received from Acer is that 512mb IS JUST NOT POWERFUL ENOUGH TO RUN VISTA at a reasonable speed and I should add further ram.An opinion backed-up by the help desk at PC World. How do Dell keep doing this, another amazing laptop for people like me to enjoy. This laptop can have an immensive amount of RAM and Hard Drive put in to it and you can also change colour and pattern to severel differant ones.
