Advantages: Very portable and reliable, good basic spec with lots of upgrade possibilities.
Disadvantages: Pretty poor after-care support, not the most sensible colour!

I purchased my iBook 12" at the end of 2004 on an end-of-line deal from Micro Anvika. I was very happy with my purchase but added an extra 512MB worth of memory and an Airport Extreme card which wasn't standard back then. My iBook came with Mac OSX Panther, the pre-runner to Tiger and came with the iMovie and iPhoto suite which unfortunately is not standard with the newer Tiger OS. ...since installed. My main uses are internetting and music composition with Reason and this iBook meets my current needs just fine. The iBook was given a fairly severe road-test in 2005 when I was away on an outdoor instructor course and was virtually homeless. Advantages: Slimline design, easy to use.
Disadvantages: Screen a little small

Nice slender design with all usual Mac functions. easy to use applications. Keyboard is soft to touch with ease on finger tips. problems may occure when trying to download products off internet, resulting in you giving up trying. Great for fun activities i.e. photo editing, video making and design activities. Not so good for heavy duty internet use. ...to give! I purchased an Apple Mac after stupidly trying to run the Adobe creative suite, and Logic on a PC. And I have to say after trying to set up a new Vista PC last week, I will NEVER get another PC. This Mac is a great starter point for the first time Apple buyer. How do Dell keep doing this, another amazing laptop for people like me to enjoy. This laptop can have an immensive amount of RAM and Hard Drive put in to it and you can also change colour and pattern to severel differant ones. Has a security fingerprint check to get in the laptop or/and in laptop files. Now that is technology so if any one steals it they wont be able to get on it!
