Excellent for a budget computer
Review of Toshiba Equium A100-147 - Core Duo T2050 1.6 GHz - 15.4" TFT by Puzzle121

Advantages: Good sound, nice looks, battery life, running speed
Disadvantages: Slow startup, small memory, heats up

I'd only had one laptop before this, and, for the less computer-friendly out there, i'm going to make do without all the 'Intel Celeron' stuff, because i simply don't understand! All i know is that the laptop is Vista Capable. I love my laptop. It's very light, it is very thin, and has a very large screen. It has a black keypad, and silver surroundings, with a large monitor and black plastic surroudings. The outer casing is also black, the top of ...
...logo on it. There are two small but potent speakers above the keyboard, and the mousepad is almost central, below the keyboard, with a touchpad, and a left and right mouse button. There's a small silver on button, which has a big blue light above it - for notification fo when the laptop's on, and there's also buttons below for controlling various media programs - a pause button, a stop button, and also skip button, and a button used for media on ... Toshiba a-100
Review of Toshiba Equium A100-306 - Core 2 Duo T5500 1.66 GHz - 15.4" TFT by JoeG1993

Advantages: slim, widescreen,media aspects, durable.
Disadvantages: Battery life

Great stylish widescreen laptop, with good media features. Theres a set of buttons along the left side of the keypad which control all the activities for playing DVDs. Very slim which makes portability excellent. Excellent durability, i've dropped mine from over 2ft at least three times and its still running smoothly! The speed of shutting down is quite dissapointing although just folding it will put it on to hibernate which is useful and takes up ... Read review

The Toshiba Equium A110-233: Jack of All Trades
Review of Toshiba Equium A110-233 - Core Solo T1350 1.86 GHz - 15.4" TFT by salar15

Advantages: Is more than adequate across the board; very easy to use
Disadvantages: As a result, it is unexceptional in most of its attributes

The Toshiba Equium A110-233 is a very competent all-purpose computer, coming at a very reasonable price (I purchased mine online at Dixons for round about £460). The actual model itself looks stylish enough, though it lacks any particularly imaginative design flair. Suffice to say, however, that it isn't an ugly, clunky beast like some laptops to be found on the market. The screen is perfectly serviceable, with adequate resolution to handle the viewing ...
...laptops of being irritatingly minute. The processing capability of the hardware is certainly fit for purpose too - unless you plan on using memory-intensive games or image-editing software, it should satisfy your needs; certainly if you intend mostly to utilise Microsoft Office, the internet, and other software on an intermittent basis, you should find that your requirements are met with distinction. As regards the battery time - I think the advertised ... Read review

Good for some
Review of Toshiba Equium A60-155 - Celeron D 335 2.8 GHz - 15" TFT by mattfox14

Advantages: Good keyboard and mouse.
Disadvantages: Slow, heavy, fauty drivers, no networking.

This laptop was good when it was first released a few years ago. But today with more demanding applications the laptop runs very slowly as only having 256mb ram , although this may not be a big problem for some. There has also been issues that I have experienced as well as many others with the graphics drivers being faulty, which can result in bsod on boot up or even while working, which could result in loss of important files. Overall this is a ... Read review

HP Laptop - Good Notebook for small businesses
Review of HP Compaq Business Notebook 6715s - Turion 64 X2 TL-58 1.9 GHz - 15.4" TFT by dickmaister

Advantages: quick, value for money
Disadvantages: not the best looking, no special add ons (no built in webcam etc.)

I was given this laptop a few days ago...with Windows vista. I have had experience with vista so it was not that hard to get used to. However this was vista business so it did not come with the windows games which you are used to. With a dual core 1.9Ghz processor, this machine is quick...ideal for all your business needs. For personal use it is also great for games such as Football Manager 2008 and so good it can cope with games such as the Sims. ...
...as Inkball is such a great game. It can play DVDs with built in Intervid dvd watching Kingdom of Heaven on it just today. I recommend this for small businesses and for those who do not mind losing out to minesweeper solitaire hearts and the likes. Great Battery time...not the best looking but good value for money ...
