Advantages: Might help layer the scent?
Disadvantages: Doesn't smell like the perfume does!

I was given a gift set of this and the perfume for valentines day this year and I LOVE the perfume but this is a bit of a let down! I tend to find that products that come in perfume gift sets usually are a bit of a let down, they never live up to the scent of the perfume. This body lotion smells of cream not really of anything else at all! Once on you would never even guess it was meant to smell like the perfume at all! It just smells sort of powdery! ...
...of it and to me it is a complete waste of that sort of money! Usually using a body lotion and perfume of the same scent is beneficial because it makes the scent last longer and be more intense but as this doesn't lend anything to this there is no point in using it really is there. ...I first came across Dove Body Silk whilst looking in Boots for another moisturiser to try. I like the packaging which is a medium sized white round tub with the Dove logo on it in blue. Even my boyfriend has noticed the difference and now often compliments me on how soft my skin is. It may appeal to some, but the smell reminded me of being in hospital a couple months ago, not the first thing I want to be reminded of when I'm "tanning." After being plagued with dry skin for years, i took it upon myself to try every moisturiser out there, and this was by far the best, in my opinion.
