The only thing that has worked for me
Review of Nail Magic by WednesdayAddams

Advantages: Strengthened my nails, I can still carry out daily chores without them breaking.
Disadvantages: None

I have tried several well-known nail care products in order to improve the condition of my nails. None of them worked. My nails are soft, they flake and tear easily. Or at least, they did! I now use Nail Magic, and it really does work. When you first start using it they recommend a regular routine of nail care, removing and repainting the polish 2 to 3 times a week. Once your nails start growing it is only necessary to use the product once a week. ...
...mechanic. It's not often you see a female mechanic, but I'm a female mechanic with long nails! I have recommended this products to many of my friends and not one of them has complained. In fact, each one has reported back to me how pleased they are with the results. Try it, it really works! ... Read review

To Scratch or not to Scratch
Review of Elegant Touch Protective Nail Glue by susanbunny

Advantages: Saves those Nails
Disadvantages: The lid sticks

...do. Anyway I discovered Elegant Touch nail glue via one of their false nail products, of which there are numerous, including designer nails, tips, French manicure to name but a few. It works rather too well with false nails, actually taking off layers of your nail underneath if not removed with their special glue remover. My nails like anybody?s I guess, go through phases of being in long (back scratching) good condition and being soft short messes ...
...So when they are long I like to keep them that way, especially if they have broken to low to cut you need a quick fix. This is where the glue comes in. You need to apply it to clean nails (if applied over nail varnish it sticks the varnish to your nail and doesn?t come off with remover) and with a certain amount of caution (more on that later). It is in effect super glue for nails. Unlike super glue (if like me you have tried it on your nails), it ... Read review

Cubic Zirconia more like!
Review of Sally Hansen Diamond Strength by Lizamabug

Advantages: ???
Disadvantages: Expensive, potent, poor results

I bought two bottles of Sally Hansen Diamond Strength instant nail hardener in an offer from Boots. I was going to buy a bottle of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails because my nails have been really weak lately and I've had great success with it in the past. But I saw this "better" version complete with shiney bottle and bits of real diamond on offer at 12 pounds for 2 bottles and decided to "upgrade". Normally this product retails at 7.95 per 13ml bottle ...
...Nails and Maximum Growth by Sally Hansen I assumed it would simply be a case of following the directions and having lovely strong nails again. This is a brand I've always trusted and recommended to loads of friends so naturally I didn't stop to think this particular product would be any different. How wrong I was. The directions for use are simple; shake gently. Apply 1 - 2 coats to bare nails. Wear alone or under nail colour. Straight forward? ... Read review

Hard As Nails
Review of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails by lozzy_lou178

Advantages: Strengthens nails over time
Disadvantages: Peels off

...on boots.com and came across Sally Hansen Hard As Nails. I purchased it for 4.25 from Boots. I think the picture above must be an old one as the product is now in a normal looking nail varnish bottle with a long silver handle. (See picture) The varnish looks as though it has a slight pink hint to it, which I think it has. This helps to make the varnish look more natural on your nail. The varnish is very easy to apply and has the same consistency ...
...give your nail two coats, but I think that one coat is plenty. The result is that you have nice shiny, natural looking nails. But does it do as it should? I have been using this product for around two months and I have to say that I have noticed that my nails are a lot stronger. They don't split at the edges as often as they used to. But the only problem that I have is that it peels off very, very easily, and I can never resist peeling off nail ... Read review

A must for colour varnish wearers
Review of Sally Hansen Double Duty Base Coat by mirrah

Advantages: Protects nails from discolouring after wearing coloured varnish
Disadvantages: none

...thing of the past with Sally Hansens Double Duty Base Coat. This product protects my nails from the dyes in the coloured varnish so my nails won't discolour when I remove it. When applied as a top coat it also protects my coloured varnish from chipping off. This is a good product and does exactly what it says. It protects your nails and lets you wear a coloured nail varnish with confidence. I wouldn't use anything else. Try it, it works. ... Read review
