I want a PDA with a large clear screen, wirless and bluetooth, and have expandable memory. Simple answer its ticks all the boxes. My new digital friend
Review of HP iPAQ 614c Business Navigator by ScottishWestie

Advantages: Features, well made, size & weight, value for money
Disadvantages: HP customer services, location of SD card

...years ago I purchased a HP ipaq 4150 pocket PC which served me very well in that space of time. The day I bought it I threw my pens & paper out the window & my life became better organised than ever. However, the software was no longer compatible with my home computer (Vista) & I was fed up of carrying around a mobile phone & a pocket PC all the time. I wanted something that integrated them both & recently started looking for a Smartphone. I have ...
...The specifications of their new HP ipaq614c Smartphone were just what I was looking for & I started to track down a reasonably priced one. P.A.Y.G. or contract? HP in the UK don't sell their products via the large phone companies, that appealed to me as I preferred to use my P.A.Y.G. SIM card from Virgin. I'm not a heavy mobile user but the main reason I wanted a Smartphone is for the PC as well as being able to use the phone when necessary. This ... Read review

HP iPAQ 114 - A fine 'basic' PDA
Review of HP iPAQ 114 Classic Handheld by apestyler

Advantages: Value for money, fast processor, stylus
Disadvantages: Weight (too light!), lots of pressure needed to use touch screen

HP iPaq 114 Classic Background HP's iPAQ 114 Classic is amongst one of the newest models released by HP in its completely overhauled range. This new series of PDAs consists of; the 100 & 200 series which are basic PDAs running on Windows Mobile 6.0, the 300 series (which has built in GPS) and the 600 & 900 series which have built in cellular phones and GPS system. I am reviewing a model which sits in the 100 series. What's in the box The list ...
...etc Overview The HP iPAQ 114 has had a bit of a face lift when comparing it with older revisions of the iPAQ family however it still manages to keep the well known shape and layout common to most iPAQs past and present. The brushed metal effect with chrome buttons is pleasing to the eye yet it doesn't look too cheap and tacky. Notable specifications for the HP iPAQ 114 are as follows; - Windows Mobile 6 Classic operating system - Marvell 624Mhz ... Read review

The Compact iPAQ
Review of HP iPAQ 914c Business Messenger by 666Nemesis666

Advantages: Lots and lots of features, light, durable, easy to use (once you know how).
Disadvantages: Can be fiddly, menu's are not always easy to use.

...easy route planning. Using the HP GPS Navigation Kit you can even turn your iPAQ 914 into a Smart Travel Companion with Turn-by-Turn Navigation (no need to buy a TomTom then). And obviously no PDA would be complete without those familiar Windows Mobile® applications for organising your daily life. Something which you may not have thought possible was the inbuilt 3 Mega pixel camera - which can capture pictures or even take videos. Full specs for ...

Books without paper.
Review of Sony Portable Reader PRS-505 by Cat199

Advantages: Small, lightweight, ideal for travel, capacity to store many books
Disadvantages: Availability of reader, availability of books

...and in particular of the Sony Reader. Unlike me, he tends to think hard about his purchases in advance and so there were many conversations (well not really conversations as that would assume my participation) around the virtues of this product before he actually decided to take the plunge and get one. I am by no means a prolific reader and my literary tastes are not as high brow as his, but I do appreciate books. I like to see books lined up on ...
...card slots, one takes a Sony memory stick (can be used in other Sony products such as cameras and laptops) and there is also a slot which will fit an SD memory card, commonly used in cameras as well. Either of these would allow you to have thousands of books at your fingertips. I personally am not sure this is necessary and would prefer to keep it to a more manageable hundred or so. When I am choosing my next book to read, I am not sure I want to ... Read review
