Hitatchi PDV 313 Portable DVD Player
Review of Hitachi PDV 313 by express1

Advantages: Compact, Excellent Display, Easy to Use
Disadvantages: Speaker volume lacking slightly

I recieved this machine as a present. I use it as often as I can when away from home, in preference to a TV. Priced at around £100. I have found this machine to be delightful, I love it! The PDV 313 is compact, lightweight and doesn't take up much room. I watch it fom the dasboard in a truck, so for caravan or motorhome use, it's well suited for this purpose and it won't take up loads of space I find the screen resolution is very good and ...
...on some DVD's, the sound volume can be lacking occasionally, although this is as much to do with the DVD you are playing as the DVD player. This can be overcome by using headphones, for which the PDV313 supplies two headphone Jacks. The battery pack is 7.2 volt / 3800mAh, I don't use it much, but when I have, it has coped easily with watching a DVD.I would estimate that the battery pack would last easily the length of a film, plus all the bonus ... Panasonic Portable DVD player Review.
Review of Panasonic DVD-LS 80 by phil124lufc

Advantages: Great if you work away.
Disadvantages: Battery life

The Panasonic LS80-K is quit a stylish little portable DVD player with its black interior and silver housing this looks the business. And not only does it look the business but it is and I can gladly say that the Panasonic LS80-K portable DVD player also delivers. Perfect for those who live on the move a lot such as contract workers or truck drivers. But you don't have to live on the move to appreciate owning one of these I for instance have used ...
...DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD+R, DVD-RAM. The Panasonic LS80-K will also play all of your DivX films as well as JPEG, VCD and most other media. Shinco 1720A - the new love of my life.
Review of Shinco 1720A by eastchristina

Advantages: Metal case, very small and sleek, a sexy little beast!
Disadvantages: Case provided with player is not the best

...exceeded all hopes! The Shinco 1720 has a 7" screen. It's strange how the screen looks so small when you open the case, but as you watch a DVD you get 'sucked in' and completely forget that you are not watching the 42" plasma you are used to. Initially, when I heard it play, I found the sound a little tinny. I seem to have got used to this over time, but in any case the hi-fi experience using the headphones provided is completely different, and ...
...will play any disk, it seems to me. However, we loved it so much that we got one as a Christmas present for relatives. The one we bought as a present did NOT work straight out of the box - my husband had to clean the lens, after which all was well. Perhaps it had got cold and gained some condensation whilst it was waiting to be given away? Husband was annoyed that he had not scrolled far enough down the screen when he bought my present, and so he ... Read review

portable dvd player 8-in dcp850 philips
Review of Philips DCP850 by jupiter28

Advantages: quality of image is like watching normal tv/dvd, IPOD classic docking
Disadvantages: can't think of any

...while travelling abroad. The philips DCP range was actually quite new and had only been out a couple of months. In addition this bay lets the IPOD classic integrate as part of the unit and is flush so you can't tell. when you are not using the IPOD docking you can store the remote there. The remote is very handy and perfectly sized with the same functions as you would have in a normal DVD player The quality is as good as any normal TV/dvd combo ...
...I spent all my time in airport watching my home tv shows. The speakers are really good too and do not compromise the viewing experience at all It is a fantastic unit for travelling and I highly rate it, is tough enough to take knocks while travelling but treat with care ... Read review
