...hours but im sure this is a little optimistic. With the speakers in full efffect, expect the battery life to halve so where possible always use the headphones. Compared to other members of the Zen range, the only extra this has over them is the fact it has built in speakers. Therefore its biggest unique selling point may also be its downfall. ...you want to use the Creative software to transfer files to the player, it installs nice and simply and works effortlessly. Transfer times are reasonably short and everything seems to work fine. There are a couple of slight downsides. Firstly, it only comes with a USb charger, which is fine most of the time s it can be charged while the computer is on which it more often than not is. But when we go away on holiday charging could be a problem, though ...
...Secondly, it has frozen up a couple of times which has left it playing and not responding to any button pushes etc. This is easily solved by using the reset button, (without losing any of your music), however you need to have something small enough, ie a paper clip, to do so. ...better off looking at another Creative player or even another brand. It does not seem to have the sleak appeal of other products on the market. Sound quality appears to be of a good standard however this does not make up for its weaknesses in other areas. The joystick is fairly small and has a cheap plastic feel to it. I have been using this MP3 player for about a year now, and its been flaw-less, sound is extremely clear, the menu system is pretty straight forward, the real eye catcher here is the very appealing design and the ergonomics that come together. Features that dignify this product is the quiet & sensitive sound recorder, not forgetting the ability to slide show pictures and set the background to inspiring mood-like concepts. ...completely redundant. The Creative Zen 32GB is nice and small, fitting into your pockets; but it lacks all the things that consumers have come to expect within the last 8 months. Another problem with the Zen is its lack of suitable software. iTunes is one of the world's most downloaded music programmes - so the Zen software is not only outdated and slow, it also makes the Zen even more unappealing. ...and lacking brightness; making this a useless product unless you literally don't want to look at your mp3 player. So in conclusion; i strongly advise you forget you ever heard of the 32GB Zen, and instead look in to an iPhone, iPod, or Archos player.
