I spent a fair amount of time researching printers before I bought this one just over a year ago and I am very satisfied with it. Mostly I use it for text only but I have printed out a short book of pictures with it (as a present) and it was good quality. I’m sure there are better printers, but they are far more expensive. The 5550 has excellent print quality and its quick. It should be, because it is sold as a high duty-cycle commercial machine suitable for networking etc. But it cannot handle glossy or thick stock in the lower paper trays, plus they have no availability for custom sizes in them either.
