The Germans are Printing
Review of Apollo P 1200 by Champ666

Advantages: Cheap, Not Bad quality
Disadvantages: Only one space for a chartrage

I bought this printer for 40 quid to use as a cheap back up printer, and so that I could save money on ink from my main printer. A word of advice to those setting up home networks do not let anyone else use your good printer, buy a cheap one and let them use that. The drivers came in on the CD and there was no problem installing them though for some bizzare reason it has set up on the computers in German. My housemates think that this is a cunning ...
...I am not that devious, and if I was going to do something like that I'd have set it up in Slovenian. Setting up the drivers though was easy as it is with all printers these days, and maping other machines on the home network to the printer is no problem either. The printer uses Hewlett Packard (HP51649a) colour cartrages and the equivelent Black and white chartrages. If you shop arround you can get these for 15 quid or less. It only has one slot ... :: Apollo P-2100U Printer ::
Review of Apollo P P-2100U by josh1111

Advantages: Reliable
Disadvantages: Quite old

...ace as the good old Apollo has never failed me because it's very reliable. Iv'e never had a fault in it and had to get it fixed or something, it's always worked for me : ), I'm so lucky to have this printer.. (sarcastic). It is pretty reliable though and that's probably the best point about it. It is very easy to use because all you do is click print and out comes what's on the screen! Voila! You've got what you asked to be printed ( I thought that ...
...printer, it's easy to use and there are 2 buttons on it showing to turn it off or stop printing the paper in the printer and print it out without finishing. The design is very interesting, it has a weird colour, like an aqua-ee colour for the bit which holds the paper in. If there's a problem then as the design is good you can lift up the top and take a look inside to see what seems to be the problem. I'm not sure if that's what you're meant to ... Read review

Possibly the Printer Bargain of the Century
Review of APOLLO P-2100U by james68

Advantages: CHEAP! Good colour and monochrome printing quality. Fairly quick.
Disadvantages: Barely satisfactory colour photos (but what do you expect for £30!)

...optional colour photo cartridge. The Apollo is capable of 600 x 600 dpi at best (monochrome) and 600 x 300 dpi (colour). The cartridges are reasonably priced, and can be easily refilled I'm told (no nasty chip to reprogram either). Incidentally, for support and drivers (Windows 98, ME, 2000) go to: http://www.ap-sure.com/myapollo/support/P2100U/supp2100.htm You do not need to download additional XP drivers since they are already built-in to ... Review of HP 2000 C by murban

Advantages: Great quality, very fast, looks great, good windows driver.
Disadvantages: Expensive to buy and to upkeep, mine broke after 2 years, no longer supported by HP.

The HP 2000C was once (and still is) a very good printer. If you already own one you will know this - it has excellent print quality, it is fast and it looks great. The driver is also very useful and it has few problems day-to-day. However, this printer was never really a winner - because of it's price. It is beaten by epson models costing well under £200. The printer uses 4 cartridges - Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black (CMYK). This is a feature ...
...The cartridges are the new HP number 10 cartridges, which are super inteligent due to the microchip within, and can provide detailed ink level information, as well as expiry dates etc. The one problem with this is a price. Each cartridge costs £25 - meaning that refilling the printer costs £100! Cartridges come with the printer, although when you buy a new black one you'll find it's twice the size of the one that comes in the printer. Although cartriges ... Read review

HP 7260
Review of HP PhotoSmart 7260 by makro74

Advantages: Excellent quick printing, photos just add icing on the cake
Disadvantages: Paper jams for drafts

...relatively quick speed (depending on settings). But beware of using draft prints as this for some reason causes the printer to jam or crumple through the process. Ink catridges suprisingly outlast any other inkjet I have owned. HP 56, 57, 58 are used in this machine. ... Read review
