Review of HP DesignJet 1055cm by
Mr_Gamgee
Advantages: Reliability
Disadvantages: none
...make them work. Using the HP driver site is a doddle and the plotter is up and running in no time at all.
Using the correct driver, printing is instant and you can have a mono A1 plan printed in under a minute.
Printing graphics and photos is slightly different. I'd recommend using an application such as PosterJet RIP which will spool directly to the plotter and make printing much easier than using the normal print dialogue - where sometimes the ... ...deadlines with an unreliable plotter. HP really have come up trumps here with the 1055cm and while there are some smaller HP printers that I wouldn't touch with a barge pole (business inkjet 2600 especially), HP are renowned for their sucess in producing quality plotters. The 1055cm is no exception.
You know, I've have a really good think and I really can't come up with a bad point about this plotter. It makes a bit of noise if it’s in the same ...

Review of HP 2000 C by
murban
Advantages: Great quality, very fast, looks great, good windows driver.
Disadvantages: Expensive to buy and to upkeep, mine broke after 2 years, no longer supported by HP.
The HP 2000C was once (and still is) a very good printer. If you already own one you will know this - it has excellent print quality, it is fast and it looks great. The driver is also very useful and it has few problems day-to-day. However, this printer was never really a winner - because of it's price. It is beaten by epson models costing well under £200.
The printer uses 4 cartridges - Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black (CMYK). This is a feature ... ...The cartridges are the new HP number 10 cartridges, which are super inteligent due to the microchip within, and can provide detailed ink level information, as well as expiry dates etc. The one problem with this is a price. Each cartridge costs £25 - meaning that refilling the printer costs £100! Cartridges come with the printer, although when you buy a new black one you'll find it's twice the size of the one that comes in the printer. Although cartriges ...

Dell Colour Laser 3110cn Review
Review of Dell Color Laser Printer 3100cn by
MoneyB007
Advantages: Qulaity, Speed, Network Adapter
Disadvantages: Size of paper tray
This is a superb colour laser printer for the money. I use this for business on a daily basis. Although mainly used for B&W printing its very fast. When used in Colour the image quality is fantastic. This printer comes with various means of communication ie parallel, USB and a built in network adapter. I have it linked directly to the router and therefore it can be used as a network printer easily. The menus are very versitile and offer you a great ... ...Ie turning off the colour function to certain users. My only disappointment is that it doesnt come with a larger tray. An additional tray can be purchased as an optional extra at additional cost. The printer is very frugal with the ink, it seems to keep printing and printing without the levels going down rapidly. The cartridges arent cheap checkout dells website. This is to be expected for a colour laser though. Caution. This is heavy 2 people are ...
