Nifty Machine
Review of Canon BJ 30 by ShoeLace

Advantages: portable, light, durable
Disadvantages: slow and paper jams

The Canon BJ-30 (currently around £20 on ebay)is one of the most durable little printers I have ever owned. Years ago I bought it and then when I moved house it was put in a box in the shed and I forgot about it (not because it wasn't a good little printer, but because I upgraded to a colour printer and this is a black ink only number). Recently, I bought a laptop to use when travelling (see my opinion on the Compaq Armada 74xx) and started researching ...
...enough, there was my trust Canon BJ-30. I wiped off the inch of dust, plugged it in and hey presto - it came out with a printed sheet that was completely unreadable (well what did you expect really!) But here comes the nifty part (yes I did say nifty), on closer examination I found that the print head had got dirty and all I had to do was whip it off and purchase a new one. It was about £25 and called a BC-10e Print Head. The printer now works perfectly ... Read review

Canon BJI 6500-This is one useful REVIEW!
Review of Canon BJ I6500 by Saiyan

Advantages: Quality is outstanding!
Disadvantages: A3 paper may be taken in angled (1 in 10 chances - for me)

...be based on a printer, Canon BJ I6500. Introduction ------------------------- Canon has been very successful in its attempts to diversify into many markets. The reason they have succeeded in many computing markets such as the printer, camera or calculator market is that their products are well known for their excellence in quality and meeting consumer demands. Canon would defiantly be my first choice for any products I need and they supply. Now ...
...and many reviews that canon floats first position along with their top competitors such as HP in the printer’s market. The reason Canon is known to top the printer league is because when ever a canon printer is released into the market it captures many customers (such as retailers). Many consumers’ attention turn towards the new features the printer will provide that not many printer manufacturers think of. For example many years back Canon had released ... Read review

Canon S100
Review of Canon BJ S100 by werdna123

Advantages: Good clean relatively cheap printer
Disadvantages: Slow

The canon s100 is a good value for money printer. It is plug and play so you just plug it into your USB port and that is it, you dont have to install drivers or restart your computer. As usual canon has made a brilliant printer. The canon s100 can print alot of pages in a small cartridge and is small and can be fitted into the smallest of spaces. The canon S100 is very stylish but also very reliable, it may not be able to stand up to laser printers ...
...of the price and for home use is all you will need unless you have exceptiponal circumstances. This printer takes about 1 minute to print 1 full page of text. It takes about 2 minutes to print a colour photo. The S100's ink cartirdges can be as little as £2 each and last for a long time, this if you ask me is brilliant valiue for money as some printer cartridges as very dear and orint a few pages and time for a new cartridge. Overall a brilliant ... Read review

HP 7260
Review of HP PhotoSmart 7260 by makro74

Advantages: Excellent quick printing, photos just add icing on the cake
Disadvantages: Paper jams for drafts

...relatively quick speed (depending on settings). But beware of using draft prints as this for some reason causes the printer to jam or crumple through the process. Ink catridges suprisingly outlast any other inkjet I have owned. HP 56, 57, 58 are used in this machine. ... Read review

Great budget printer.
Review of Canon PIXMA IP1800 by pdmg

Advantages: Excellent text
Disadvantages: No letter tray!

...on my previous experience of Canon printers - I opted for a Pixima with FINE technology. I already have a very good photo printer in the shape of the Epson R800, and an Epson 830U which I use for rough drafts as it is on it's last legs. Fact is, I needed a printer to print decent quality letters and the odd mixed text and image sheet. I previously used an old Canon S520 but it finally gave up the ghost, and I have to say the i1800 - at about a quarter ...
...capable machine. It prints in various modes (high, standard, draft and custom) and in high quality mode, the text is as good as any printer I've seen. It's not fast though, so if you print a lot of text you may want to look at a laser. Printing tecxt over colour (a sample web page) was not so hot, but I don't really care! Photo printing is acceptable, though I didn't buy it for that purpose and only printed one quick pic to get an idea. I imagine ... Read review
