Great Printer!
Review of Epson Stylus Photo R285 by Selito206

Advantages: Perfect CD printing, Photo paper printing and normal paper printer quality!
Disadvantages: Large in size and has a few problems in CD printing (as explained in main review)

...ink being not even geniune Epson Ink, was perfect and high quality. The problems that i had was after i set everything up, and was about to test print my first few CDs, the printer said something was blocking the printer head. I had to restart the printer several times, and restart the computer 2 times to get it back to working/printing condition. What i learned was that when you want to print on CDs, you turn on the printer, and wait until it has ...
...ebay, and really it does not affect image quality as i have been using Epson for years and never bought genuine epson branded ink. Plus you can save a lot by buying Epson (in particular R285) because you can buy a CISS system for it reducing your printing costs significantly!!! ... Read review

CANON PIXMA IP4500
Review of Canon PIXMA IP4500 by Cyber-Mark

Advantages: sleek looks, not the ususal vanilla unit in the corner, quiet
Disadvantages: Slight premium when initially buying the printer, some ink can be expensive

...I was fearful of the Canon ink being at a premium. This has proved not to be the case, with the ink no dearer that other manufacturers. The cartridge set up on this printer lends itself to to ink economy with its separate units, and that is all before you even consider ink re-sellers. Quiet in operation, superb printing in all modes, including photo reproduction, excellent connectivity and great looks make this a definite recommendation ... Read review

Excellent product - BEST ON THE MARKET
Review of DYMO LabelWriter 400 by tailorsanjay

Advantages: Quick, Small, Quiet, EASY to use, user friendly software, easy to deploy on the network
Disadvantages: Its too good!

...definitely THE BEST! The Dymo LabelWriter is amazing. It works via a network switch and print server when most printers/other label writers do not work. Its small, its SO user friendly with the DYMO Label Software. Its very very easy to fix faults when they arise (not very often) and its very quick and quiet. The LabelWriter software itself is one of a kind - it allows you to print labels in batches, via an addin in Word, Excel and Powerpoint - ...
...is excellent, especially with the DYMO personalified labels. I have 10 of these in my organisation and they are becoming extremely popular. The cost of these little things are next to none - most other label writers cost over £130!! Its so good that I've bought one for my own use at home. I would definitely recommend this product. ... Not for old women who live in shoes.
Review of HP Color LaserJet 2600n by dhillcrest

Advantages: Looks good, prints fast,
Disadvantages: Too expensive for heavy use

...poor old geriatric canon inkjet. HP quote about 8ppm and that seems about right. Not the fastest of lasers I know but were not doing runs of 20,000 books so it suits us fine. Set up and install ------------------------ Came in a really big box. Looks like itd take 2 printers but disappointingly there was only one.Usual plug-and-play set-up on a workstation via a usb (supplied). we got the technician to install it to the network at a later date ...
...Supplies ------------ About £40 per HP cartridde which was getting WAY too expensive for the kids to use. I think the compatibles were coming in at around £30. * 1 x toner cartridge ( cyan ) - up to 2000 pages * 1 x toner cartridge ( magenta ) - up to 2000 pages * 1 x toner cartridge ( yellow ) - up to 2000 pages * 1 x toner cartridge ( black ) - up to 2500 pages Looks --------- Chunky but not especially bulky if that makes any sense. Advantages: Good Quality Prints & Lots Of Useful Features
Disadvantages: Small Colour Ink Provided

...decided we would like an Epson because they are reliable, cartridges aren't overly expensive and Epson is a trusted brand that we have used previously without any problem. So having decided upon an Epson we narrowed the model down and picked the Epson Stylus DX8400 it had everything we wanted and also had a cool LCD display screen for viewing status information and also images that are downloaded off any memory cards which I thought was a really ...
