Lexmark 1000
Review of Lexmark 1000 by isidianprayerhall

Advantages: Cheap, Prints fairly quickly if you know what to do, Good first printer
Disadvantages: Cartridges a bit of a polava to change, Not good for much printing other than black and white

...the intention of re-filling a Lexmark cartridge, I wouldn't choose Lexmark. They are ok to refill about twice, but after that you've got no chance. The design on them means that after a few fill, anything you put into the re-fill slots comes out on the metallic bar on the base ( let me assure you I've ruined a whole kitchen work-top doing this - it doesn't work - don't try it!) [Other features] This is one of the noisiest printers I have ever come ...
...leave the room for a moment, this crazy contraption will slowly creep towards the edge of it's resting place and onto the floor, leaving you with an interesting mess of coloured dyes on your carpet. The intense movement of the cartridge shakes the printer slowly forwards, leading to the above. Considering all of the above, and all of the bad things I've said about it, you'd think that I hated this little printer. But I don't - It's very reliable, ... Read review

Infuriating
Review of Lexmark 1020 by JaySee

Advantages: Price
Disadvantages: Cartridge price, difficult to use

Right now I'm backing away from the printer, as it makes a disturbing crackling noise... this printer shows how frustrating a poor InkJet can be. Installing drivers will guarantee to make you scream! After using the printer port on my old PC to connect an mp3 player, I tried to go back to my printer by installing the drivers again. Big mistake. The disk repeatedly fails and anything downloaded from the website will not work. The ink cartridges for ... Read review

Disposable Hardware
Review of Lexmark 1100 Color Jetprinter by hotspur_blue

Advantages: Cheap as chips
Disadvantages: Don't last forever

Although computers were meant to help us cut down on paper and save the rainforest, we all still need the occasional hard copy. If like me, you only do the occasional bit of printing, these offer a lot for a small initial outlay. I have found the over time, the qualty of the print becomes less, these have the feel of being disposible units with few servicable parts. Replacement cartridges for these cost an arm and a leg. If you are looking to start ... Read review

Overall Good Work Printer
Review of Lexmark 3200 Color Jetprinter by Matt1eD

Advantages: good quality
Disadvantages: Noisy (not quite the puf, puff of an HP!), slow

...long as you use real Lexmark ink you can't go wrong. However the problem as with quite a few printer . If you wack it on full quality, with real branded ink it gives really good quality prints. After a few years though ink can build up in the ends and the rubber that sucks in the paper either won't grip it (solved by a bit of sandpapering of them) or will suck in more sheets than required (quite a common problem). It is great for normal work, and ...
...one). The Lexmark catridges cost a bomb and are used v. quickly (all ink companies only fill them about a 1/4 full (where they can be filled over half... loads of sponge in catridges!). It's quite heavy and bulky. It isn't too keen on anythng other than A4. ... Read review
