After Sales Support
Review of Olivetti JP-883 by
ipplepen
Advantages: Few - support is excellent
Disadvantages: Expensive to run
I purchased this printer as part of a promotional package from COMET. Purchasing a scanner and printer for less than £100.00.
Performance of the printer is OK - Speed is good
Colour is OK - although definition is a little on the budget side.
Ease of installation is very good, with an excellent manual, very clearly laid out and understandable.
However the very best sales feature must be the after sales support offered by olivetti. 11 months and ... ...advised the company directly by phone, the very next day my old printer was collected and replaced by a new one. Having rushed I had forgotten to remove the paper feed tray - the very next day the tray was posted back to me.
Very well done Olivetti.
But please make the ink cheaper. ...

Cheap, good quality, Expensive carts
Review of Olivetti JP-170 by
zef
Advantages: cheap and good quality
Disadvantages: expensive cartrages
...digital pictures off and the olivetti has handled it perfectly and they look good albiet with the glossy paper. The downside is the hassle of getting new cartrages when the old ones run out. £35 a time for a colour is a bit steep especially considering I could get through one a month. Refill kits arnt supported by the olivetti but are available but faliure to wash the syringe can lead to mixing up the colours and ruining your print outs. ...

cheapness at a price
Review of Olivetti JP-192 by
lipgloss
Advantages: basic
Disadvantages: basic
Olivetti JP192 black/mono printer is a cheap to buy printer, that is lightweight and easy to use. I got it for just under £55 on sale.
The ink, however, is a different matter, being well over £20 a cartridge/printhead. Also on the down side is the print quality and lack of convenience. Only one printhead can be used at a time, so the colour or black that is taken out must be stored in the little container provided, and you must keep changing them ... ...and is very obvious and easy to do.
The printing is slow, and the colour images produced are very poor at times.
I did not get this printer looking for superior print quality. I just wanted a cheap printer that would hopefully be cheap to run and to replace when the time came. It is mostly for text printing; essays and the like.
I didn't realise how expensive the ink was to buy, and have found a company that sells refills for this model (you can ...

Dell Colour Laser 3110cn Review
Review of Dell Color Laser Printer 3100cn by
MoneyB007
Advantages: Qulaity, Speed, Network Adapter
Disadvantages: Size of paper tray
This is a superb colour laser printer for the money. I use this for business on a daily basis. Although mainly used for B&W printing its very fast. When used in Colour the image quality is fantastic. This printer comes with various means of communication ie parallel, USB and a built in network adapter. I have it linked directly to the router and therefore it can be used as a network printer easily. The menus are very versitile and offer you a great ... ...Ie turning off the colour function to certain users. My only disappointment is that it doesnt come with a larger tray. An additional tray can be purchased as an optional extra at additional cost. The printer is very frugal with the ink, it seems to keep printing and printing without the levels going down rapidly. The cartridges arent cheap checkout dells website. This is to be expected for a colour laser though. Caution. This is heavy 2 people are ...
