useless waste of time and money
Review of Canon BJC 8200 Photo by
hatecanoncrap
Advantages: came with the mac g4 in trade out deal
Disadvantages: won't read paper, won't print, piece of crap
...scanners suck as well.
canon sucks
this printer came with a mac g4, and it
gives every excuse in the book NOT to work.
give it paper, it says "no paper" remove the
paper there's a paper jam.
amazing, how many excuses this piece of trash gives not to work.
I'll never buy or let anyone I care about buy one of canon's products.
Their scanners suck as well.

Good printer for the home or office
Review of Canon i 455 by
ShahidHalling
Advantages: Excellent print quality, cheap to run
Disadvantages: A tad noisy
...I managed to install the canon software in no time. The canon printing software has some new features to it such as a 'quiet' mode, special effects where you can add monochrome type effect to photos (such as sepia, etc) and the usual ink level monitoring /cleaning head stuff you expect to find. The i455 comes with Pictbridge functionality which allows you to directly plug your camera into it and print off photos direct. I don’t have a pictbridge ... ...how crisp text came out. Canon states this baby can do a whopping 18ppm black and 12ppm colour. I found that for pure text printing, the i455 flies, but printing pure colour is a tad slow. I suppose it all depends what quality you’re printing at, and with all printers, if your printing at max resolution (4800x1200 DPI no less!), the ppm will drop significantly. In its defence though, I found that it could handle pretty much anything that I threw ...

Entry level office printer with upgrade options
Review of HP LaserJet 4250 by
netgekko
Advantages: Will grow with you and last for years
Disadvantages: No network card or duplex
This is a great workhorse printer from H.P. its fast with clear, crisp print results.
This machine has a small footprint so if space is at a premium in your office but the workload is high, this might be the printer for you. Hewlett Packard make good reliable printers in general and if the LJ4250 develops any faults H.P. parts are cheaper and more easily available than most.
It only has one paper tray, however the front cover pulls down to allow ... ...opportunity to have two different types off paper loaded and ready to print.
There is one fault I am aware of with this machine relating to the duplex unit, if you expect to add a duplex later and do a lot of double sided printing, it has a habit of becoming a bit noisy; there is a cog that wears under the extra load caused by the duplex. However this is very minor and can be fixed easily.
This is a good solid printer and I would recommend to anyone. ...

I have a real thing about Oki printers !!
Review of OKI C 5650n by
netgekko
Advantages: Print quality is great
Disadvantages: Would be good if it came with a duplex
...have a real thing about Oki printers, they are well made, solid reliable printers, but the main bonus is there print quality, it really is first class.
If you are looking for a quality print at a reasonable cost Oki is the place to start, and the Oki C 5650n is no exception.
This printer is a good workgroup printer, it is network ready, however a duplex would be nice.
The Oki C 5650n would be the Rolls-Royce of home printers, more than enough ...
