Advantages: Cheap, Not Bad quality
Disadvantages: Only one space for a chartrage

I bought this printer for 40 quid to use as a cheap back up printer, and so that I could save money on ink from my main printer. A word of advice to those setting up home networks do not let anyone else use your good printer, buy a cheap one and let them use that. The drivers came in on the CD and there was no problem installing them though for some bizzare reason it has set up on the computers in German. My housemates think that this is a cunning ...
...I am not that devious, and if I was going to do something like that I'd have set it up in Slovenian. Setting up the drivers though was easy as it is with all printers these days, and maping other machines on the home network to the printer is no problem either. The printer uses Hewlett Packard (HP51649a) colour cartrages and the equivelent Black and white chartrages. If you shop arround you can get these for 15 quid or less. It only has one slot ... ...printer, it's easy to use and there are 2 buttons on it showing to turn it off or stop printing the paper in the printer and print it out without finishing. The design is very interesting, it has a weird colour, like an aqua-ee colour for the bit which holds the paper in. Advantages: CHEAP! Good colour and monochrome printing quality. Fairly quick.
Disadvantages: Barely satisfactory colour photos (but what do you expect for £30!)

The cartridges are reasonably priced, and can be easily refilled I'm told (no nasty chip to reprogram either). Disadvantages: bad software

...from dusts (Canon LBP3000 have a tray cover). LBP2900 produce good quality prints but this printer is an example for the product that you hate because of its software... If you have a 64-bit system (like Vista64 or XP x64) or you are using Mac OS X then don't buy it, because there is no drivers for these systems, also there is drivers for Linux but only 32-bit. What can I say, I bought this printer as an impulse buy. I only paid £45 for it brand new from a well known stationery shop. It has replaced a mono-laser printer bought second hand. To get a copier/scanner/printer for £45 is good, but one that faxes as well. It did as was claimed on the box, I just plugged it in, connected it to my laptop and within minutes the drivers were installed and it was ready for use. I was a bit dubious about the fax, but ...
