Childs printer - That simple to use
Review of Epson Stylus Color 440 by whisp

Advantages: Easy to use
Disadvantages: The ink cartridges can be expensive

...increases if you buy the Epson ink cartridges and is less if you shop around and by the compatible cartridges for Epson printers. With automatic feed it is advisable to put upto 100 pages in at a time. It has extendable rest for the paper when it has printed to go onto until the ink has dried to prevent smudging and this also folds up flat against the front when the printer is not in use. This way it can not be caught and is also space saving when ...
...the paper has run out and has a button so that you can unblock the inkjets if they become blocked. It is easily turned on and of by a button on the front, I have found it simple to use and have not even read the operators manual. I would recommend this printer to people that are not all that confident with gadgets. ... Read review

Epson Stylus Photographic Printers
Review of Epson Stylus Color 860 by Trev1000

Advantages: Ease of use and software capabilities
Disadvantages: Genuine ink cartridge replacement cost

...types will suffice, however the Epson Stylus range are the ones I would recommend. They are a little higher priced than most other brands but the quality is second to none, with the exception of lazer type printers, BUT! if you want them you would normally need to take out a mortgage. The Epson Stylus i use at the moment is the 860 model, and prior to that i owned the 600. Both models are designed for photographic and artwork printing and also with ...
...a digital camera and an Epson Stylus printer the results you can acquire are nothing short of miraculous, and of course you have massive savings where film developing cost comes in. As a final note there are about 20 different models of Stylus printers that start from a very reasonable price with print quality as a standard 720 DPI, but it is well worth the extra cash for the 600 models and upward which you can get A3 paper types also. They are fast, ... Read review

Good quality comes at a price
Review of Brother HL 1660e by matthewmayer

Advantages: Great print quality;Quick
Disadvantages: Occasional paper jams

This is a really good quality printer. It is speedy, doing many pages a minute and the resolution is simply superb. I tried printing several scaled down screenshots of web-pages on one page and it was still possible to read the text! It is capable of working in high-pressure environments (we use them at school!) That said, there are reasonably frequent paper jams and the paper tray only takes a few hundred sheets, so needs to be refilled quite often. ... Read review

Old injet printer but reliable.
Review of Epson Stylus Color 600 by wildtinsey

Advantages: Cheap to purchase
Disadvantages: No individual colour cartridges.

This is an old product and as expected it isnt as fast as a modern printer. It also does print as well. I have used this printer for many years at work. It takes a while to warm up but prints fine, every so often it requires the heads to be cleanesd otherwise you get stripy prints. It uses 2 cartridges, one black and one colour. The cartridges are still available but you sometimes have to hunt them down. Im not sure how much they cost as they ...
...stationery purchases. The printers are no longer for sale but can be obtained through places such as ebay, for very little money. It is attached to the computer via a serial cable without the possibility of USB connection. The only major disadvantage with the printer is that it doesnt use individual colour cartridges so if one colour runs out you need to replace the whole cartridge. ... Read review

Faster than a fast thing going fast !
Review of OKI B 4600 by netgekko

Advantages: Speed
Disadvantages: None

Oki make good printers, the Oki B 4600 is a very fast mono printer. Faster than a fast thing going really fast! This is great if you're printing off lots of copies in a hurry, or ideal for printing customer receipts or information when the customer is waiting. This printer is quite small so is good if space is a problem. There are a couple of minor things to watch out for, the drum on this machine seems to get damaged quite easily, if your taking ...
...the surface of the drum. Also the front control panel looks nice but is easy to mark. Like I said these are really minor issues. The main point about the Oki B 4600 is speed of print with reasonable quality, if that's what you're searching for you've found it. ... Read review
