Canon consumables are horribly expensive but you can get some good deals on ebay etc. The quality of your prints will be very affected by the grade of paper that you choose. I have found that Canon Paper Pro gives the best results and the next grade down (super glossy) is good for the sizes that Paper Pro does not come in. ...for Gloss opimizer. These are epson original replacements. Printer is quiet and easy to use but I prefer a hard copy manual and not on computer pdf supplied on disk. This printer also prints onto printable Cd/Dvd's and comes with accessories to you allow to do this. It also came with a full set of full inks. My previous printers have only come with 50% full inks. Printer utility disks are usefull and allow easy print head cleaning and nozzle checks ...
