Excellent Epson
Review of Epson Stylus DX8400 by almarsden

Advantages: Good Quality Prints & Lots Of Useful Features
Disadvantages: Small Colour Ink Provided

...decided we would like an Epson because they are reliable, cartridges aren't overly expensive and Epson is a trusted brand that we have used previously without any problem. So having decided upon an Epson we narrowed the model down and picked the Epson Stylus DX8400 it had everything we wanted and also had a cool LCD display screen for viewing status information and also images that are downloaded off any memory cards which I thought was a really ...

All-in-one VS dedicated printer and scanner
Review of Epson Stylus DX7400 by vmrussell1

Advantages: A great all round printer copier for an excellent price
Disadvantages: Memory cards from some cameras may not be supported

...I currently have an Epson R265 which uses 6 inks plus a Canon scanner and was sceptical about All-In-One devices. More to go wrong was my thought. But 49.99 from Staples it was worth the risk and quite honestly for the money, the quality is fantastic. At that price, unless you need very high quality results, this is perfect for Home and Small-business use. The size of the device: Has the same footprint as my R265 but save space from not having ...
...devices needs computer and software to scan and print. With All-in-one you switch it on and press the copy button. Print speed is excellent and colour match is much better than the R265. I will admit that this could be down to me using compatible inks in the old printer - Get what you pay for? Maybe a lesson there. The R265 was not renowned for normal printing as it is in the Photo-printer class but the DX7400 is designed with that use in mind ... Read review

Cheap to buy, costly to run
Review of Epson Stylus D92 by EviUK

Advantages: Well designed body, smudge-resistant inks
Disadvantages: inaccurate ink gauge, ink dries up, can't clean cartridges individually

The price was cheap. The design of the paper tray is good. This is the first printer I've had where the paper is not either dropped to the floor (my printer is on a shelf) or sucked back into the roller (Cannon) causing a jam. It had a sturdy feel. The set up instructions were inadequate and unnerving with bits of tape which I wasn't sure if I had to pull off or not before using. Although the ink was expensive, it boasted (and delivered) a reasonable ...
...a document printed on a Cannon!). I liked the idea of separate colour cartridges. I found the print quality perfectly acceptable and used the printer's options to lower the saturation. Draft quality was too poor to be useful but because the printer allows you save a Print Profile, I could set up a suitable equivalent. This latter feature has been very useful - I could specify paper size and orientation. It would have been more useful if it could ... Read review

not fab, but good for the money
Review of HP LaserJet P1005 by princesslaura

Advantages: not too big, quiet
Disadvantages: not a fantastic printer

...husband has been using the HP Laserjet P1005 at work for the past few months. His [much more expensive] laserjet broke down and he was quite put out to receive this in return! Amazon charges £69.75 for this product [with free delivery within the UK]. At this price you know that the printer is not going to be top of the range, however, it's not total rubbish by any means. It prints at speeds of up to 14ppm [which is no good for high volume printing ...
...1200-dpi. It has a 133 MHz processor and 2 MB of memory. One advantage of this printer is that it is fairly small in comparison to many others on the market [which saves on valuable deskspace - more room for coffee cups!]. It is also quite quiet [my husband's last printer sounded like an aircraft taking off whenever it was turned on]. It comes with a 150 sheet input tray, which I would consider adequate for most home use. Hi-speed USB 2.0 connectivity ... Read review

what a picture
Review of Canon PIXMA IP3500 by techno_man_37

Advantages: cheap for what it does
Disadvantages: not alot of features

The canon pixma ip3500 is a great buy, its good quality it looks very cool but best of all its cheap too. In fact this little machine will only cost you around £50, and for a great printer, what more could you ask for. Just because it's a little printer, and its not very expensive, don't just make the assumption that this doesn't print fast. This printer has the capability to print out a massive 25ppm in black text. It prints colour pages out ...
...at 10.4ppm. The print quality isn't amazing, however id say its above average. The black print looks nice and really sharp when printed, and the colour pictures come out fine on this printer when printed. When its all closed up, this printer looks like a nice box, it does have curved sides making it look more stylish and making sure it doesn't poke anyone's eyes out. When not in use all the flaps and panels fold up nice and easy, so that when its ... Read review
