Epsom EMP 7900
Review of Epson EMP 7900 by
pmccarthy
Advantages: Good bulb life, remote control
Disadvantages: Heavy, max 1024 resultion
We used the Epsom in our office until a recent burglary. However, we have had a couple of projector and this was the only one that never required a bulb change. Which was impressive.
The quality of the product was good and has all the functionality required to serve as a small office/meeting projector. We used it several times a week either on customer site or in the office meeting room.
We do spend some time on the road and I did however find ...

Big image with low features
Review of BenQ MP771 by
pipedos
Advantages: Large imege from short distances
Disadvantages: expensive , lack of lens Zoom and lack of horizontal keystone
Ive just got the benq mp771 and i must say I am really disappointed with it , even though it has the capability of projecting large images in very small spaces it lacks from some basic features that every projector of this price should have , It also fails in recognizing signals from apple computers and you have to connect and disconnect VGA cable every time you want to project a VGA signal.
I include the number of features this projector doesn't ... ...perfectly in angle.
The benq mp771 DOSENT have a manual zoom, it only have manual focus in its lens, so it needs to be located exactly in a certain distance to fill your screen perfectly, that is a problem when you want to fit perfectly the image into a screen and you are planing some fiscal place to put the projector.
The digital zoom only ZOOMS IN , what if I need a little more distance for the fiscal conditions to place the projector , why cant ...

Panasonic PT AX 100 E
Review of Panasonic PT AX100E by
AndrewPo
Advantages: Works in relatively bright conditions, quiet
Disadvantages: unreliable, very big, short bulb life
I have been using the Panasonic PT AX 100E as my main TV for just over a year now. The picture quality is extremely good in a dark room and quite watchable during the day even with the curtains open for all but the darkest movies. In bright conditions the colours can become a little washed-out although there are various viewing options on the remote control to compensate a little. For some very dark films however you should wait until the room can ...

Sony Projector, Great all rounder!
Review of Sony VPL CX1 by
CHAOS1979
Advantages: Amazing Depth of Colour and Picture Sharpness, portable
Disadvantages: Delicate - Replacement bulbs expensive
I have had this for around a year and its a great piece of Home Cinama Kit. We have the projector set up in our living room and we get a fantastic picture on movies and a 105" Screen. Our room just isn't long enough to make it bigger! We also use it for parties as you can get some outstanding 3d visualisations for winamp etc, always the talk of the party. I was very wary buying one of these, but i found one cheap on ebay and went for it, im so glad ... ...it an awful lot.
There is the obvious drawbacks, you need to have adequate blinds/ cutrains to block light, it needs a dark room to work at its full potential, and be damn careful because those bulbs are expensive to replace.
The set up is easy, connections are straightforward, and there are a good range of menu options enabling you to adjust the projector to your own preferences. ...

You won't need the bloke in IT for this one
Review of Sanyo PDG-DSU20B by
sadoldbag
Advantages: Great picture quality, high brightness, easy to operate
Disadvantages: none
This is a projector designed to work with a lap top and screen so you can do presentations or whatever where you want your computer screen projected. I also use it connected to a TV and VCR so you can project the image onto a larger screen, for showing to a whole room full of people.
It costs £233 at the moment from the BT shop - that's the cheapest price I can find at the moment - I use mine at work, so I don't know what it actually cost.
It is ... ...anywhere, and bore peole to death by powerpoint slide, on a global scale.
It weighs a little over 6lbs, which is not bad, but if you can get the bloke in IT to set it up for you and carry it over, then I'd do that if I were you.
It is a fabulous example of the genre.
Firstly it's intelligent. It recognises when you've plugged something into it and you don't have to press a dozen buttons just to get it to talk to your laptop. I have a system with ...
