Corsair DDR2 6400C4 800mhz 2GB (2x1GB pair)
Review of Corsair XMS2 DRAM 2 GB PC2-5400 by ClockworkUniverse42

Advantages: Excellent speeds, reliable, very cheap, decent overclocking potential
Disadvantages: Slightly poor quality of heatsink

Unfortunately the link to the Corsair XMS2 DRAM 2GB PC2-6400 C4 only goes to this page. So here's where I'll write my review! I'm going to just go ahead and state it right at the beginning - this is some excellent memory. It's fast (800mhz), it has lower timings (4-4-4-12), it's reliable, and it's very cheap. You can pick the 2GB set of two modules up from £35 anywhere now, which is a phenomenally low price. That's really the hallmark of this product ...
...running games in Windows Vista, there's really no need to have 4GB of memory; even the most demanding game you can run won't use more than 2GB RAM. That's why I recommend this 2GB set to everyone I help construct computers. Not only it is fast, and so brilliant for games of all sorts, it's also cheap, so it's great for those with more basic computer needs as well. From running to instances of Eve Online on one computer to running multiple applications ... Read review

Memory with heatsinks? That makes a change
Review of Corsair XMS2 DHX DRAM 2 GB PC2-6400 by Closeratio

Advantages: Reliable, can be overclocked easily, to a point
Disadvantages: The heatsinks may take up too much space in a machine using a small case

...in making the RAM, as corsair is well known in the computing industry to be one of the most reliable suppliers of computer components. If you're looking for an upgrade or even looking for some memory to put into a new computer, then you can't go wrong with this. It's reliable and runs cooler due to the large heatsinks, which also allow it to be overclocked more than standard RAM without heatsinks. ... Read review

Reliable RAM at a great price
Review of OCZ Platinum Revision 2 DRAM 1 GB PC2-6400 by Closeratio

Advantages: Cheap, very low price, overclockable to a degree
Disadvantages: None that I know of at this point in time

I can't really say much about this RAM as I've only had it a month or two. So far though, everything's good. The RAM came well packaged and whilst it could have done with more material to protect it from any potential damage, most stick of RAM come in this sort of clear plastic packaging these days anyway so it's no big deal. When I ordered it from Overclockers.co.uk it was on off at £28 inc. postage so whilst I was slightly cautious of this (Last ...
...a bit more than that, more than double), but now I know I shouldn't have been as it's been totally reliable ever since and has produced no memory related errors. The memory also came with a small booklet which just gave brief details about the RAM and how to install it. although anyone who's done this before knows that it's not a massively complicated process anyway. As far as installtation goes, everything went fine. The RAM fit in and the computer ... Read review

Good Memory By Kingston
Review of Kingston DRAM 2 GB PC2-3200 by Surj1

Advantages: 2GB, 400MHz RAM, 1 Slot Required, Very Good Performance
Disadvantages: None

The Kingston DRAM 2 GB PC2-3200 memory works well in my PC. Kingston is one of the market leaders in quality memory along with crucial memory. Memory is one of the easiest upgrades anyone can do and will greatly affect the performance of your PC. I have had one of these in my PC since day one and it's been working fine. I am also considering upgrading and getting another one, not sure yet though. In my previous PC I used to have crucial memory and ...
...to pin point. The Kingston memory allows me to run applications simultaneously without any glitches or crashes. I use Adobe Photoshop and Audition quite a lot and it seems to be able to handle them very well. As a test I've run both programs together performing tasks and it's coped with them. So proves it will handle powerful programs well. Main features and functions from box: - General Data Integrity Check ECC Features Registered Memory - Supply ... Read review
