    Yeah clyde fm is great radio station.The football phone is fantastic,listening to hugh keevins getting his predictions wrong again this football season again.I can't wait.The downside is that ex miss scotland,her fake laugh drives us mad in the morning.My mates go mental when she starts faking it.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages EVERYTHING!

    This station is absolutely terrible! I'm unfortunate enought to be inflicted with it constantly for upwards of eight hours at a time due to my employers 'tastes'. The 'playlist'...hmmm...same, same, and same again....maybe an hour between playing the SAME song, sometimes less! It'sa always the SAME songs they play, and not really the one's that are 'easy' on the ear! Sunday's are when Billy Sloan rears his ugly taste in music, with screechy, wailing 'classics' ripping through the ear drums and into a shattered brain.     I travel around the UK in the course of my job and I have yet to find a local radio station to match Clyde 1! The only station that comes close is Beacon FM in the West Midlands. Clyde offers a great range of types of show for the average listener. The breakfast show is my fave. George Bowie (or the Bowie Boy as he often calls himself) is just the person to wake me out of my grumpy morning mode while commuting to Edinburgh in the morning. His show runs Monday to Friday from 6.30am - 9.30am and is very ammusing. He and his crew (Dr. (Sarah)Proctor, Hugh Keevans are very good and strike the ... more

    Advantages Advantages Fairly good DJs at times, Good breakfast show

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Far too many adverts, a bit condescending and repetitive at times too

    Clyde 1 has been the main local radio station for Glasgow as long as I can remember. Or should I say, "West Central Scotland" as their adverts constantly tell us! The playlist was once excellent, dipped a little, and has improved slightly recently. Once "bubblegum pop", they do now play some dance / rock during the day, with a dance specialist show at the weekends, and also a jazz type show on Sundays. DJs are good, however they can be a bit condescending and sarcastic at times, depends on your mood I suppose.     In my younger teenage years, I loved everything about Clyde1 FM, from the DJ's to the choice of music, as time has progressed however my opinion has rapidly gone downhill.. The problem isnt with the DJ's though, as they do try, the majority of them have a sense of humour and are definitely good at what they do.. The problem lies in the playlist and the sheer quantity of adverts the listener must endure. For local radio though, I do believe Clyde is unrivalled anywhere else in the UK.. the awards it has one both in the UK and in the US is surely an accurate indicator of this..     Disadvantages Disadvantages The worst Sports Programme in Scotland

    Whit a radio station. Do you know it really is the one thing I miss about Central Scotland when I go traveling ? Seriously radio elsewhere just isn't as good. I know they have stolen formats from elsewhere. The George Bowie show for example was a copy of the old Chris Evans show on Radio One or the Gavin Galloway show on Scot FM, but boy do they do it well. See on other radio stations its sounds like everyone else is kissing up to the presenter who invariably has an over inflated ego. Not George Bowie.     102.5 Clyde one FM is the best radio station out there! It always plays the best tunes and has the best DJ's. It always has fantastic competitions with super prizes too. Tiger Tim always does a great show and plays songs on request so you know it will be the latest chart toppers. His competition, Alphabet street is when 3 songs are played and you have to name the song title of 1 and the artist for the other two and they all start with the same letter.     Clyde 1 is definately the best radio station there is. The music is much better than that of radio 1 and well it is much more entertaining. I mean who would want to sit and listen to English presenters all day (no offence) when all they talk about is basically nothing to do with any other listeners apart from the English. Although the music is better and the presenters are much nicer, friendly and helpful there are too many adverts. Sometimes it is beyond a joke.     Out of all the local and nationwide radio stations, Clyde 1 is my fave. It must be a good radio station as they are even collecting awards from America!!! My fave DJs is Gavin Pearson and Joe Kilday, but they are all great in their own way, and make listening to the radio enjoyable. They mix their music, but the majority of the songs are pop and dance. They also have great competitions from holidays, to concert tickets, and CD prize packs. I have won conert tickets and CD's quite a few times now, so it's well worth the listen. If u can't get tuned in to the radio station they broadcast it live ... more
