    "Nice until you make a claim" All was good until I had to make a claim, built up 5 years with them, had car stolen, usual lie detector phone call bunkum, trebled my insurance and bumped my no claims down to two years from 5. Found insurance for for a third of the cost with the RAC, even with the crappy 2 years ncd Flux saddled me with. Not telling the customer that they are undergoing a lie detector test with some idiot pretending to be your buddy whilst getting control answers and then throwing in the was it modified one, all designed to get out of settling your claim, dishonest business ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Huge hidden costs when renewing and making any changes

    Hidden costs when renewing and no options to make amendments without 'mid-term change' fees. Staff are unhelpful and the company deny any responsibility. They work as middlemen so deny any liability which means getting anything done takes a very long time. When renewing they added on extras that I had not asked for and charged me for them. The day after starting my policy, they would not allow for any changes without a minimum of £50 admin charge, despite it being for their own benefit. I dread what it would be like having to deal with them if you had to make a claim. I suggest you avoid them ... more

    Been ript off 140 pounds for cancellation fees after just 1 month of policy used.They even no bother to phone you . I have been driving for the past 40 years and I have 20 years of non claim bonus, clean licence , I my life I have come across many motor insurance agency , but I have never seen nothing like this one . At the begin the quote was reasonable good price, but soon after they demand another 100 pounds on top. I then made a cancellation, of course they didn't like it. I made them upset, As in fact they didn't reply my email, they also made me wait on the phone for long time ! This ... more

    Flux came up cheapes on price comparison website - brillant. They they asked me to cal them before releasing insurance certificate. Kept me on the phone for 45 minutes, asking a huge series of questions, and requiring written or documentary proof of every single fact. Made me feel like a criminal. I was required to send in: 1. A detailed questionairre 2. Photocopy of all named drivers licence and photocard 3. Evidence of no claims bonus (fair enough) 4. Thatcham Category 2 declaration form (even though factory fitted) 5.     I have used Adrian Flux brokers from 2005 till 2008 when there price went up due to them being unable to find my NCD (been driving for 34yrs without claim) so I went with Sureterm (great company and no problems) 2 years later (28-04-2011) I tried Adrian Flux again, they gave me a very good price so I paid there and then in full , they took my money but a week later they were unable to cover for the price quoted and wanted an extra £150 ! so I declined this 'offer' and requested that they return my money , they took two weeks to return some money but they now charged me £30 for them not to even ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages an unbending will to be right until proven wrong

    Customer retention is NIL, after sales is APPALLING. Avoid this company at all costs. This companies complaints procedure is little more than to stall the inevitable refferal to the Financial Ombudsman Service. From my personal experience, Adrian Flux did have an unbending will never to admit error even in the face of overwhelming evidence against them. In my opinion and since my initial claim, Adrian Flux went to considerable effort to avoid admitting any guilt where it did undeniably lay. I am confident of a positive outcome despite the obstacles placed in front of me. I sincerely hope that ... more

    I strongly recommend that you do not take out insurance with this company. We cancelled our insurance with them over 3 months ago as my daughter wanted to be insured for the car but due to her age they would not insure her. So we cancelled the insurance and they said that they would send us the balance of over £500 within 5 working days, that was over 3 months ago. They said that they would send it on multiple occasions but to no avail. They appear to be a company that will take your money but if look out if they owe you any or you make a claim. We will be taking them to the small claims court ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages No personal help, and become very, very expensive when someone else causes an accident

    A third party crashed into ME, and whilst awaiting for the claim to be settled, my policy was due for renewal. Adrian Flux put up my insurance from around £270 to £1100 and said they would refund me "as if nothing had happened" when the claim was settled in my favour. When it was eventually sorted I received a letter telling me my full no-claims would be re-instated, and I would receive a refund. I got back less than £500. SO why has my insurance jumped from £270 to £650 when nothing has changed??? They can't (or won't) answer. Never ever ever use Adrian Flux. They DON'T help when you ask them ... more
