Advantages Advantages Non permanent, cheap, easy to use, no staining, good for "dyeophobes"

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

I usually have a can of this knocking about in "copper flame" and I invariably use it to just add a bit of a kick to my chestnut hair inbetween colours. My hair is a mid brown naturally and i usually find that with a quick dab of this mousse ( i actually use it dry) it controls my hair gets rid of frizziness and adds a bit of colour. This is handy because you can use it either as a dye, and use the full can on wet hair and if you want a more intense colour use it again to build it up, or you can do as I do and use it to enhance your natural colour. I've just got my hair back to reddish brown ... more

Advantages Advantages Does What It Says On The Can

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

I purchased a can of Alberto VO5 Colour Mousse in a vibrant shade of Copper Flame - My usual colour is dark blonde - in plain english - I am a mouse! But this mouse was looking a bit tired and over the past couple of years has acquired a light sprinkling of grey. I have a "HOT" date in the offing and had been toying with the idea of dying my hair a vibrant red - but chickened out just in case I ended up looking like Worzel Gummidge on a good day!!! So I took the plunge and paid 99p for a can of colour mousse from Savers - a product that you apply to your hair after shampooing but leave it on ... more

    Advantages Advantages Quick. No rinsing.

VO5 Colour Mousse What? Non-rinse colour mousse that is supposed to last up to 5 washes. 'Colours and conditions'. Steel can, pressurised, with nozzle. From the Can: Adds new tones to your natural colour. Leaves your hair in great condition. Adds depth and vibrant shine. Refreshes previously coloured hair. Up to 8 colour treatments per can. No peroxide or ammonia. How? Using the plastic gloves provided, simply apply to hair after washing and towel-drying, just as you would any ordinary styling mousse, then dry as normal. Any good? I decided to try this colouring mousse in order to try and even ... more

Advantages Advantages Red or coloured hair of your choice for a couple of weeks

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Extremely messy

The colour mousse in this range is very strong and it will defiantely work in anyone's hair. I used the red. Silly me! Not only is extremely hard to get off skin, but if it falls on the floor there's no way of getting it out of the carpet, or off your clothes, or off the towels. So make sure that if you do use this product that everything you use can be thrown away afterwards. The colour stayed in my hair for about 4-5 washes. I also have a bath, so as I was washing my hair afterwards the water resembled something reddy/pink in the tub, (a bit of a shock for my daughter when she walked in) ... more
