Advantages Advantages Easy to use, convenient, very portable

Disadvantages Disadvantages Battery life deteriorated quickly, being valuable shouldn't be left unattended

I've been using the Kindle Touch for nearly 4 months. It's brought the obvious benefit of having almost any books I want to read readily available. The Kindle Store It was very easy to access the Kindle store on Amazon from the Kindle. The search function was good and I was quickly able to find the books I was looking for and, having bought them, they were on my Kindle in less than a minute. Very convenient. Initially I was looking for fairly new books by well known authors, the prices were a little less than the paper copies but not by all that much. Had I waited a few weeks I may have been ... more

Advantages Advantages Very light, fits in handbag, easy to use, clear text

Disadvantages Disadvantages Touchscreen can be over sensitive

I love reading and, on average, read about one book a week - sometimes more if I find myself spending a lot of time travelling. My husband is constantly complaining about the sheer number of books we have on our shelves and will periodically tell me I can't buy any more books until I've got rid of some, so I wasn't entirely suprised when I received a Kindle Touch from him as a birthday present. When the Kindle was originally launched I was unsure if I wanted one as I love 'real' books, but I have been using the Kindle app on my iPad on a semi-regular basis, which increased the temptation to ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to use, light, easy on the eyes

Disadvantages Disadvantages Recess to screen means night time reading under a lamp produces shadows

Easy to use, light, easy on the eyes Recess to screen means night time reading under a lamp produces shadows I used a Nookcolor to read eBooks previously (with screen turned to white text on black & brightness right down at night) and held off getting a Kindle due to non touch-screen. The touch screen gets some getting used to, but with Amazon releasing 5.0.4 firmware/software on the device it has resolved some of the earlier teething problems. I would recommend the device, & would say the extra cost for a 3G enabled version is a bit much for the privilege of downloading books on the move ... more

Advantages Advantages portable, smooth screen, great battery life

Disadvantages Disadvantages small screen, no extras,

With a family as big as mine I've had a chance to check out many E- readers and tablets. However when it comes to e-readers the original kindle just does the trick. It does not freeze up as much as the newer readers do because it does not have applications and all the bells and whistles I suppose. Aside from the size the screen does well to make reading easy and comfortable on the eyes. It doesn't have many speed or memory problems because the device itself is not cluttered with random games and nonsense. In my opinion it's the original for a reason, because it runs just fine, maybe it's not ... more

~~Kindle touch~~ Why did I buy the kindle touch? I decided to purchase the Kindle Touch as I enjoy reading and travel a lot; the slim design of the Kindle Touch is a mere fraction of the size of one ordinary book. This makes airport travel a lot easier for me as I frequently fly and take approximately two books with me at each time, buying the Kindle means I can carry more in my hand luggage and also have hundreds of books with me at any time so I can freely pick and choose what I would like to read and when. Features The kindle touch has new technology called E ink display; this mimics the ... more

Advantages Advantages Simple to Use, Fun, Easy to buy and contain new books, Built in Wi-Fi

Disadvantages Disadvantages Hard to carry around, Easy to lose, Easily broken

I personally enjoyed my Amazon Kindle Touch, I found the touch feature quite nice and easy to use, as well as the whole device itself. Very user friendly, I never really felt like I didn't understand something, which is great. The ability to carry so many books around was fantastic, and the built in wifi to make it so I can get books anywhere? Wonderful. Its sleek and professional looking, another bonus. Yet at the same time it was hard for me to just carry around, too big to fit in my pocket, and it sure didn't like to be dropped when I attempted to carry it! I only dropped it once and its ... more

Listen up book readers! The Kindle is an awesome tablet that allows you to read books and more. There are different types of Kindle's as well. The Kindle Fire allows you play games, read book, search the internet, and much more. Kindle's are my all time favorite tablet and I recommened them to each and every one of you. The regualr Kindle starts at $99 and the Kindle Fire is $199. Ninety-nine dollars for a Kindle is a great price. Kindle's are easy to use and addicting to be on. I remember when I first got my Kindle I could not put it down for the life of me. Everywhere I went I had it with me ... more

~ WHAT IS A KINDLE AND WHY DID I WANT ONE? ~ A Kindle is a small device by Amazon that can store hundreds of books which makes reading more convenient and easier. The kindle is slim, which means it fits perfectly into a pocket and you can access different books by downloading them and adding them to your kindle. The kindle will always remember where you left off, so you can start reading your chosen book easily again. There are lots of different versions of these types of readers; some are called e-book readers and other different names. Most of the basic one's do the same thing which is to ... more

In November I decided to purchase a Kindle and found that Amazon had a special deal on the six inch kindle . I was going on a very long journey to Australia and it certainly was easy to carry in my handbag . Before you start using the Kindle you will need to connect it to your computer so the kindle can work in downloading material.in wireless mode. Downloading items is very easy to do. The cost of up to date and popular books seem expensive about the same has you would pay for a hard copy. So I just keep an eye on the special offers then it is not too costly. You can dowload trial magazines ... more
