5 Stars Amazing iMac Review with images 11/07/2012

Advantages Advantages Loading Speed, Aesthetics, clutter free, Limitless applications to enhance your system.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

You're always going to be slightly worried when you buy a computer with a completely different operating system than windows, especially when you've cut your teeth with Windows ever since Computers began. Readers, you need not worry. Apple's Lion operating system is so user friendly that you'll have little or no trouble adapting to it. So to the system itself. Once you've stopped salivating over the design and the fact there is only one plug to use instead of the usual army of plugs that burden your electrical sockets you get to savor the sheer loading speed of the system. Gone is the three ... more

I bought my Mac back in March this year (2012) and I must say that I am more than impressed. I have been a windows user for over ten years and the only apple products I have owned prior to this are an iPod mini ( which died on me a few days after warranty end) and an iPod touch, which is still going strong bar the poor battery and slow response due to the ios5 updates. Honestly, the move to a mac computer was a long and reluctant one for me, as I have not had much faith in THE brand from the iPod situation and because of the known limitations of the macs in terms of compatibility when it comes ... more

Advantages Advantages Great design, operating system and very quick.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Some programs are not compatible with the OS.

This is the latest in apple's lineup of iMacs and has much greater performance because of new graphics and top of the line processors. This product works excellently out of the box and turns on very quickly. The set up of the operating system is very easy and takes no longer than 5 minutes to get started from the turn on. The first thing to note is the incredible screen quality, the screen is a solid glass panel and brings together the whole design to look sleek and professional. The resolution is 1920x1080 and pictures look very sharp along with videos. The iMac also takes up a small amount ... more

    Advantages Advantages Fast and User-Friendly.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Battery life of wireless accessories

I was looking for a computer to replace my ancient PC. I was advised by a friend to check out the Apple iMac and I found it to fit my needs perfectly. The slim screen and all wireless accessories cleared up my desk, freeing me from the tangles of too many cords. I'm also a movie guy so the crystal clear screen appeals to me greatly as does the memory size (500GB). If you have many apple products as I do, then this computer becomes the epicenter for your iPad, iPods and I-Phones. Apple prides themselves on being user-friendly and succeeds. This computer will be easy to use for any age and level ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to set up, brilliant graphics, quality build

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None at all

Well I have waited a month before reviewing my iMac, let me tell you the story, First I purchase an iPhone, then an Ipad , these purchases started my Apple journey that as lead to the purchase of this IMac, so impressed was I with the quality, design and simplicity of the iPhone and Ipad, the Imac was the nest logical step, But as a 15 year user of Windows PC's you can imagine the amount of data I had created on the windows operating system!!! this really did put me off buying the imac as the new imac would be at the heart of my network of two Windows PC's and a network storage drive, over the ... more

4 Stars Attractive Device, A Few Drawbacks Review with images 01/04/2012
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages Large, attractive screen, no tower, multiple USB ports, fast, nice keyboard and mouse design

Disadvantages Disadvantages Somewhat flimsy/unreliable disc drive and USB ports, not always user friendly

I've had this device for about 6 months now. It is certainly an attractive item. The towerless design is great, yet its speed doesn't suffer in the slightest. The mouse and keyboard accessories are well constructed. The monitor is nice and large, great for people who need larger text settings, or simply enjoy a high resolution experience. It has 5 USB ports which is nice, but they can be finicky with some devices. For that reason I prefer to use my PC for my art tablet and other devices that require a sensitive and precise USB connection. The disk drive works, but after a few months of use it ... more

Advantages Advantages Simple to set up, simple to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages Still some compatability issues

After growing up with various PCs my whole life, it was breathe of fresh air to bring home my iMac 6 months ago. Five minutes after opening the box I had all of my music and photos loaded onto my computer and it immediately became MY computer. Macs are intuitive enough that my wife's grandfather just bought his own after seeing ours. No matter how long you've been on a PC, you'll immediately appreciate the iMac as the best home computer available. I honestly do not know what else I would want our home computer to do. Also, the iMac makes life easier for people who own an ipod, iphone, or ipad ... more

    Advantages Advantages Design, Manufactures Support

Disadvantages Disadvantages Crashes sometimes, hard to use, very expensive.

Overview Many of my relatives and friends, who actually own an iMac, always tell me about the beauty of it, and how amazing it is. However, this is not the case, yes I agree with the fact that the iMac runs smoothly however the operating system is nowhere as good as Windows. This may be because I have always used windows and never used the MacOS, but whatever the case is, I actually regret buying this product as any PC with window is my favourite choice. Nevertheless, I can never say that I don't try new things:P Even if it cost me £1000, yes the iMac cost around £900-£1000. All apple products ... more

Advantages Advantages Pretty, All in One, Inte's Sandy Bridge technology

Disadvantages Disadvantages set up on random hardware with random cooling techniques in even more random space

I had the 'pleasure' to use this system with quite a bit of its features for over a year now (school 'studio'). First of all, as a hybrid of both Mac OS X and Windows, finally as a Mac OS X only system. It is one of the slowest, hottest (temerature-wise!) and useless machines ever assembled. I have been using windows for ~10 years and I honestly don't see one positive thing about Macs when compared, all you get is limited access to applications and games really. But, lets organise this thing into some sensible report, starting off with the hardware; Straight from Apple's Site: http://store ... more
