Well hello there, thanks for looking at my review in your decision to purchase a new MP3 player. This is my first review on the site but it is not the first MP3 player I have ever owned, in fact it is not even my first iPod that I have ever owned. My wife and I recently split and as with most relationships that end; the his and hers things form a lively debate. To cut a long story short, she got the old ipod shuffle (even though it was a gift for me from her) and I had to go and buy as new one. I spent quite a while deliberating over models, styles and size in my quest to buy a new MP3 player ... more

Advantages Advantages easy to use, nice looking, cracking size and plenty of room for me

Disadvantages Disadvantages bit costly for what it does, but other than that...?

Anyone that knows me, or anyone that has been kind enough to read some of my review, knows that I like to listen to music without inflicting my style of music on them, (although some people would not say what I call music stylish). Anyway, over the years I have used several MP players, be it owned, borrowed or some how come across. Some of these players have been nice little units, giving me lots of pleasure in my ears. Whilst some other players have fallen flat more or less at the first hurdle, as if trying to split me from my love of my music. One particular MP3 player that I got my hands on ... more

An MP3 player needs to be good at only one thing; storing and playing my music. I bought this MP3 player around 6 months ago and the reason I bought it is because I wanted a device that I could use in the gym. I did not want a very expensive one with a huge memory and when I saw this I thought that it would do nicely. I was getting tired of listening to the gym's music that had far too many advertisements thrown in and I needed a good playlist to motivate and inspire! I have always had a phone that can store music but I prefer to leave my phone in the locker and use a lighter device. Having a ... more

Advantages Advantages Small SIze and Sexy look.

Disadvantages Disadvantages No screen and small buttons

This iPod is great of running, walking, plane trips, practically anywhere you want really. The size of it is its main feature, it is so compact and simple. And thats whats great about it, also the fact that it can come in a range of colors is appealing. A disadvantage to it, is that it doesn't have a screen therefore you never know what song is coming up next, and you can obviously not display photos or videos. Its super light and can take a few drops which is great, they look awesome and the apple logo on the back finishes off the product nicely. Its not expensive and makes for an awesome ... more

Advantages Advantages tiny, light, clip, nice pastell colours, decent quality, cheap

Disadvantages Disadvantages no display, small memory, only works with iTunes

First of all I'm a lot into travelling, sports and music. Therefore it was logical that I would need a companion that would combine all three things. I first got a little Zen mp3 player from my brother, it was tiny and basically working like the ipod but it was disturbing for me that I couldn't clip it on my clothes anywhere and I couldn't use it for sports. Also a memory of just 1GB was quite limited. I also have an iPod touch (Generation 2 I believe), which I like a lot. But here I had the problem that is it quite heavy and big and I think those wristbands or armbands where you can put it in ... more

Lets face it, Apple are everywhere from iPhones, to iPads and of course the original and possibly the product that started off the revolution - the iPod. Now the iPod has had dozens of incarnations (Touch, Nano, Classic) but what could be more simple than a little device (miniscule infact) without a screen that plays your songs at random and can keep you entertained for hours? That’s exactly what the Shuffle is, there have of course been lots of different Shuffles on the market over the years but it would seem that the Shuffle, more than other iPods is the model that has changed the least. It ... more

I remember when the I pods were first released and I was in school at the time and I remember people getting them for their birthday and Christmas and I always had an mp3 player because it was more in budget than a I pod. I was really jealous but was glad that they was banned in school, not like that stopped people from bringing them. I remember going to pick one of these bad boys up with my dad when I was about 15 years old, my parents had gone on holiday without us kids for the first time and they bought us each a little something for being good and mine was this little beauty. I have two of ... more

Advantages Advantages small, light, practical, may survive the washing machine, low price for an ipod

Disadvantages Disadvantages not much storage space for songs, doesn't always survive the washing machine

Over the years me and my other half have owned 4 ipod shuffles - 3 different generations of them! This might sound like they aren't much good if we've gone through 4 of them already, but 2 of them are still alive and kicking, 1 from an earlier generation went through the wash never to play music again and another one we had admittedly did break - we could not get it to charge so once the battery ran out it was useless - this has also happened with an ipod video that we had, but that's another story! ~ About the ipod shuffle ~ The ipod shuffle is a small mp3 player made by Apple ideal for using ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages No major disdvantages

I like to keep in shape and before I fell pregnant with my baby I would run for up to five miles a day when I had the time. I had my little girl in February and although I was struggling to walk around, let alone run for the first month or so, I no longer have any excuses not to exercise daily, albeit not a lot as I still do not feel completely 'recovered' from giving birth. I've recently been taking long walks with the pram and my best behaved dog (I have four and wouldn't even attempt to walk all four of them with a pram in tow, lol.) To make walking around my local area, which is a quiet ... more

Advantages Advantages A piece of nano technology mastery.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Being majorly 'nano', it can easily be lost.

Apples 4th Gen iPod Shuffle 2GB Newly appointed Chief of Apple, Tim Cook who'd taken over from the highly acclaimed guru of nano technology the late Steve Jobs in August 2011 - has large boots to follow. One of Jobs legacies apart from writing an incredibly moving biography left for his children was to show the world how small nano technology could evolve when it came to MP3 portable devices. The fourth generation delivers beyond the miniature, swiftly into a world of 'Gulliver's Travels'. A product naturally would've got the 'Tom Thumbs Up' from Jonathan Swift (Gulliver's Travels created ... more
