Advantages Advantages Cheaper than "Real" Red Bull

Disadvantages Disadvantages Tastes Strongly of Orange Peel!

I am a complete Red Bull addict and I drink at least 2 cans a day even though I know it is bad for me, I've become almost reliant on it to keep me awake throughout the day. The "Real" Red Bull is very expensive in my opinion and for the vast amount I drink it would cost me a fortune to buy that kind. So I tend to opt for the cheaper alternatives instead such as the Supermarket's own brands like Asda Blue Charge. I do think that all of the different kinds Red Bull available all vary considerable in taste, but they still have that "Energy Drink" flavour to them and do the job of keeping me awake ... more

    Advantages Advantages Cheap

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Acidic

Asda Blue Charge: I drink a stupid amount of caffeine, most of it coming from energy drinks and the rest from coffee. Apart from the possible health implications the worst thing is the price of these things! I normally drink Relentless but at nearly two quid a can in my local shop and at least a quid in the supermarket I have to supplement it with a cheaper brand. Asda Blue Charge is one of the “cheap” energy drinks that I turn to most often. Blue Charge costs 97p for a litre bottle or 43p for a 250ml can. Asda often have the litre bottles on offer at two for £1.50 which is when I tend to ... more

    Advantages Advantages good taste

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

This drink is the alternative, prouced by asda, to powerade or redbull. This drink tastes good and it did actually give me a little boost of energy, even though I only drank a 250ml can. The original flavor tastes much better than the diet version or the cranberry version of this drink, by far! They completely lack in taste compared to the full fat one, although the full fat one does contain many many many many more calories than the diet version of this drink. Blue charge is available in can form or bottle form and is at quite a reasonable price considering the quality of the product. You can ... more

Asda Blue Charge - 1 litre bottle This is a high impact stimulation drink, which contains taurine and it is carbonated fruit flavoured with added caffeine and vitamins. It is basically a supermarket version of the well known Redbull. It is in my opinion a very tasty drink. Normally and preferred on its own but I have tried it with vodka which makes the vodka easier to drink but does make you get drunk quicker. I find this drink's texture like any other fizzy drink but a little bit thicker and not as tinkerly when going down the throat. I could not say what flavour I am tasting but when I saw ... more

Advantages Advantages Still cheaper than red bull , its an energy drink

    Disadvantages Disadvantages horrible taste

Asda changed the drink early this year i think, they took out some "stuff" and im still wondering why on earth they did it? The price also went up. Before the change, the drink was pretty good and came very close to the red bull flavour for a fraction of the high price of red bull. Anyway im going to review the new version. The taste has completely changed. Some people may like it but if you like the red bull taste this isnt it. When you drink It, it starts of nice then gives this horrible after taste that has the taste of bad beer . If your looking for an energy drink similar to red bull ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, tasty, does it's job well

    Disadvantages Disadvantages any suggestions?

Ahh blue charge, my best friend on those all nighters playing Rockband with my friends and such. A great buy. Taste Obviously, blue charge is Asda's own brand of Red Bull, so its a cheap, nasty, tasteless waste of money right? Wrong. Ive never really liked the taste of Red Bull, the aftertaste is like the taste you get when you squirt deoderant in your mouth (Ive only done it twice, not a hobby of mine), but Blue Charge is different. It tastes identical to Red Bull, but with quite a pleasent aftertaste, quite fruity in a wierd way. Now, I dont have to hold my nose while I pour some energy into ... more

Advantages Advantages Lovely Taste, Cheap, Just as good as Red Bull, Energizing

Disadvantages Disadvantages Overpowering Fizz, Disappointing Cranberry Flavour, Boring Packaging.

Aaah blue charge. I'll tell you a little something you need to know: .:PRICE:. Single Can 24p 6 Pack £1.48 .:OTHER STUFF:. 30mg per 100 ml (75mg per can) Contains Taurine Also comes in Diet By Asda Can = 250 ml Bottle = 1L (92p) Finally done. Now i can tell you about my experience. I opened it and heard the reasuring fizz to show it was fizzy, and smelt it and thought 'Wow it smells exactly like red bull!' and tasted it, and was amazed about the similarity between it and red bull, considering it was less than quarter the price. It tasted better with each sip as the overpowering fizz seemed to ... more
