    Advantages Advantages Compact, light, offers basic functions at a low cost

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Only really suited to 'flat' subjects

    For several years I'd been happy to scan with my trusty N65U scanner, also from Canon, but an upgrade to a new system that came 64-bit Windows 7 meant that I wasn't able to use it on my new PC. The drivers weren't compatible, and no amount of poking , tweaking and faffing about would persuade the components to work together. I wanted a relatively small scanner, to use at home and in the field. I wasn't keen on having to lug about anther 'brick' in my laptop case, and in short, I wanted something as similar to the old machine as humanly possible.     Advantages Advantages beautiful design, easy to use, cheap

    Disadvantages Disadvantages inability to scan heavy items, inability to scan slides, negatives.

    When we hear the word "Canon", something in our heads is a bublejet or inkjet printer, digital cameras and scanners. Canon produces so many products of computer peripherals. I have purchased a scanner CanoScan LiDE 100 to scan the documents and some photos. As usual, Canon products is very easy to install and use, these are the hallmarks of Canon's products for years.     Advantages Advantages Fabulous quality for scanned documents, both colour and B&W

    I bought my CanoScan Lide100 for home use earlier this year (2009) after having used the CanoScan Lide 25 at work for 3 years or so. Having used it for several months now, I thought it was time I shared my views on how it fares as a flatbed scanner. Anyone who really knows me will know that I'm obsessed with taking photos and have 1000s of digital photos stored online and I really wanted to scan in my old photos pre-digital era and wanted a decent scanner mainly for this reason.
