As I am now expecting my fourth child as you may well guess I have had a few experiences with pregnancy tests and this clear blue test was the most recent one I have taken that told me I was expecting bump now at 23 weeks. The tests come in packs of 2 although you can buy them separately it was only a pound dearer for the pack of 2 and the advantage is when you are in shock and think really am I you can reach for the second to rest your doubts. At retail of £13 they seem very expensive but when you want to know the results fast and these promise the world that is the last thing on your mind ... more

Me and my husband had decided that we wanted to start a family soon after our wedding , however having been on the depo injection for just over a year I had no idea how long this was going to take especially after some of the negative experiences I had read about. Just over a month after my wedding a friend was due to get married and we were going to the reception, I didn’t want to risk drinking as I knew there was a chance that I could be pregnant, although I thought it was unlikely it would happen that quickly, but just in case I decided to do a test to be on the safe side. I decided to buy ... more

I bought the clearblue pregnancy test at the beginning of the month, having done two own brand tests that came back positive i wanted to be sure. I picked clearblue as i had been told these were the ones doctors used, the test cost me £8 which i didnt mind paying. The instructions were really easy to use and even came with some pictures so you knew what the result would look like. It states on the instructions that most readings will take 90 seconds to get a result however when i did my test it came back within seconds pregnant showed up on the screen it even said 3+ which meant id conceived 3 ... more

4 Stars PREGNANT… Loud and Clear! Review with images 01/10/2011

Advantages Advantages Over 99% accurate, detects pregnancy early, very simple to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive, conception indicator less accurate

***Before reading this is a very girly review and talks about pregnancy and the joys of being a woman. Therefore all males need to keep this in mind before reading!!!***** My twin boys had just turned 19 months old and as much as I love being a mum, more children were not on the cards in the near future. But then I felt VERY sick and ill. In fact I said to Mr Lools I think I may be seriously ill. The weird dreams started and I was “late” (not the kind of late due to timekeeping!). I decided that the best thing to do was a pregnancy test as my symptoms were exactly like when I last fell ... more

Advantages Advantages Spells it out for you, simple to use.

Disadvantages Disadvantages The long pause while you wait for the result to be shown.

The product This is a digital pregnancy test, it is designed to tell you whether you are pregnant or not, in laymans terms, by displaying the words 'pregnant' or 'not pregnant' in the window indicator. This test has a conception indicator which will advise how long ago you conceived based on the levels of hormone in your urine sample. Underneath the word 'pregnant' it will display 1-2, 2-3 or 3+ meaning you conceived 1-2 weeks ago, 2-3 weeks ago or 3+ weeks ago. A doctor will always add two more weeks (roughly) to the date of conception to ascertain how many weeks pregnant you are. This is ... more

This is an older review that I am posting for the first time on Ciao having previously written it on Dooyoo. It is old because I used this pregnancy test with my first baby 18 months ago and to find out about my second baby who is due in October. Both times they have been accurate and correct and is a test I definitely recommend so please read on and find out how they work!! Oh my gosh!!! As some of you might know, I have just started trying for a baby with my husband. Well, last week I had cause to buy a pregnancy test. I will not bore you with the details as I know there are quite a few men ... more

Have had occasion to use this twice. Kit actually comes as a set of two so if if you have no faith you can repeat the test! Best save for a rainy day or a just in case check though. I found it very straigh tforward to use and the result comes through very quickly. It is easy to hold in the stream of urine without making any mess and is easily disposed of as it is not a bulky test kit.My husband didn't object when I asked im to buy me one and even he commented that the packaging was small enough to fit in his jacket pocket. It comes with a very clear set of instructions that are very easy to ... more

Advantages Advantages very easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages a bit on the pricey side

I chose this product because I not only wanted to find out if I was pregnant but also how far along I was. It is the same as most other pregnancy tests by which you simply have to pee on the stick and wait for the little timer on the screen to do its magic and tell you whether you are pregant or not. Underneath that if pregant it will tell you how far gone you are in weeks. My only negative point about this product is that it is quite expensive compared to other products that do exactly the same job that are on the market. But I bought it purely for the fact that it told me how many weeks ... more

I clearly remember the day, stood tackling the ironing mountain while my husband was tidying up the front room now that both boys were in bed. Quiet and calm had descended upon us like an old friend, my mind clear for the first time since having our youngest baby boy. Then suddenly, in a moment of clarity, the question struck me. When had I last had a period? Well my face must have been quite a picture, as hubby dropped what he was doing, quite concerned, "what's wrong?" he asked. I really don't think he was prepared for the answer! My maternal history has been quite full on over the last 6-7 ... more

Clearblue Pregnancy Test When I was trying to get pregnant I had to be patient and wait so you can imagine how many tests I would have taken every month. I had bought cheap ones and there was a very faint line. So as I was unclear about the result I decided to buy a more expensive brand to see if it made any difference so I went to the shops and came across the Clearblue pregnancy test. **WHAT IS IT** This product is a pregnancy test which can be used up to four days before your period is due. It is less fiddly than the cheaper tests and has a simple test window to see the results. The test is ... more
