    Advantages Advantages Vibrant illustrations, teaches colours.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages No flaps to lift.

    This is a lovely book for pre-school and early years children, aimed at teaching them colour recognition. Please note that the author is not Stella Blackstone as listed by ciao but Caroline Mockford. It is seen through the eyes of a sweet, little cat named Cleo and the reader is invited to see what Cleo learns when she goes out to play. The story is told through simple rhyme which children can easily commit to memory and join in with after a few times of reading, for example: ‘Here is a bicycle, shiny and red.
