    found the same contents cover same insurers as quoted on renewal notice ,but at half the cost with budget insurence .this proves it pays to check with confused .com to check withmy car insurence is due soon so i know where to go .i was always unsure of these comparisom sits but i am now converted talked to several friends and they have checked this site and found they have been paying too much for services in the past not any more .i will been checking all my service bills and see what i can save etc also i found you dont have to pay for copy of the policy unlike some companys that i know of ... more

    Please if you have had problems with this company call Consumer Direct, report them to Financial Services Ombudsman, your local MP, the newspapers. This company is habitually tricking the most financially cash strapped people in this country they use a system of breach of contract, tricking you with Terms & Conditions which is beyond the average persons ability to understand. Especially tricking those with the cheapest quotes quite frankly going for the working class because they consider them less able to protect themselves.     I've tried all the current Car Insurance Search WebSites offering the same service as confused.com, but even quotes from the same insurers come out as significantly more competitive on Confused.com. You can also try as many variations of your details as you want, within your circumstances, to see how they affect the quote. i.e. I found that even though I only drive around 2000 miles a year, I got much cheaper quotes by entering 4000 miles, which is still a legal entry as I do not breach this mileage.     The service of confused was good and quite clear, easy to read. I chose my insurance cover, and completed the necessary parts, however when I went through to confirm, the price was different, and I had to pay extra for parts that had been included in the original quote? Needless to say,I did not buy this. I then went to my next choice which was all correct and as per the original quote. There was an error on the confirm page but not an issue as I called the number given and finalised it manually with a very nice lady at Hastings Direct. I will use it again.     Disadvantages Disadvantages Well, having spent time inputting so much data, it didn't come up with a single quote.

    Despite inputting in all the details, this website failed to come up with a single motoring quote for myself and my daughter. It couldn't even find the make of my very ordinary car from my registration. By comparison, ComparetheMarket.com, having got exactly the same info, came up with over 20 quotes. And it found my car easily - as does the DVLA and every other internet site I use for my car such as car tax. In my opinion, this site absolutely wasted my time.     My father in law told me his renewal quote was £350+ . I told him that was dear. so i went online to confused.com and yes you have guessed it £259.22. now thats more like it, that was excellent value. I have used confused.com for roughly about four years now. I get quotes for my car, my husbands car and now my father in laws car. I would not go on any other website not now that i have found confused . com . Its very useful to know about confused.com.     Last year I changed my car insurance to esure as a result of comparing the options on confused.com and I was delighted that this year, despite rising premiums, my personal quote from esure did not increase at all, so that I could stay with insurer without any qualms. This year I was shocked that my regular home contents broker, RIAS, was quoting a 65% increase for my home contents policy - for no obvious reason, as I had not made any claims for many years.     Disadvantages Disadvantages none that I can think of.

    I was quoted £240 to renew my car insurance with my present insurer so used confused.com to search for a better deal. One of the quotes obtained was £220 for the same cover and that included 12 months breakdown cover and as I was also looking for breakdown cover, this was the deal that I settled for. I use confused.com every year when my insurance becomes due and always find a better deal. It's certainly worth a few minutes of my time each year to obtain a dozen or so quotes as the quotes vary widely, in my case from £198 to £1500!.     It surprises me that so many people will keep renewing their insurance with the same company year after year and not check around for a better price. My renewal quote came through from my previous insurer and had increased by nearly 50% even though I had a year's more no claims discount and my circumstances had not changed. I went on Confused.com and got my insurance cheaper than last year! It would appear that the insurance companies drop the "new business" price and then hope that you renew at the higher price. By swapping and changing, you keep getting the new customer price. And next year ... more

    We were extremely pleased with your service. The only thing that bothered me was your lowest qoute with the post office was £401 which we was happy with it did all what we wanted and went ahead with it. But when we got to their site it went up £30.. Although we still went ahead with it because it was still a good price even at £431 because the car was a Japanese import. It was just a bit niggling. Even with this though I will use your service again in the future and found you to be better than other similar services, besides we love your adverts.
