I couldn’t be without my cushtie. I have two of these, one purple and the other blue. One I keep at home and the other I always have in my car. For anyone who's perhaps never heard of one before, it is simply a small, oblong shaped soft cushion which is soft and bendy and filled to the brim with tiny little balls. I bought them both in a pack of two from an indoor market whilst holidaying in Wales. They are both the same size, both made of soft polyester fabric, soft to the touch and they are flexible in that I an actually bend them into the shape I want in order to make myself more comfy. The ... more

    Advantages Advantages So squishy

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

We travel quite a lot and I always like to take a pillow with me for the car. I get quite a bad back travelling for long distances but this Cushtie does just the job. A cushtie is a squishy log shaped pillow that can be squeezed and manipulated into lots of different positions I actually bought my pink cushtie from a motorway service station, a great place to sell them in my opinion as you are really reaching your target audience. There was a whole big wire basket full of them and if I remember correctly they were only about £5 each which in my opinion is a complete bargain. It came in a ... more

At Christmas time I was given this Cushtie as a gift, I had seen them before for sale but it had never been something I had considered buying. However, since I got mine I have never looked back as it is probably the comfiest thing you could ever know. It is an unusual concept of a squishy pillow but it is perfect after a tiring day at work or when you want to lie down on a surface that is not so comfortable and best of all they come in a wide range of colours. The one I was given was of course pink as it is the best colour to me and is nice and bright. APPEARANCE The Cushtie looks pretty ... more

Advantages Advantages Soft, snuggly, comfy, light, portable

So there I was, wandering aimlessly through a motorway service station somewhere between here and Oxford while the other half got the coffee when my gaze fell on to a huge basket of wonderfulness, right there in the doorway of WH Smiths. They were Cushties. And I needed one. To my delight, not only did they have lots of plain bolster style cushions, but they also had animal shaped ones too; namely a pig, monkey and a bear . As a Simpsons-fan-from-the-start I was fresh from the semi-delights of The SImpsons movie and I decided I had to have the pig. Why? So I could name it Spiderpig of course ... more

I love going on holiday but hate having to sit on a plane for long periods of time. I find the headrests rather uncomfortable and usually end up annoying the person next to me by leaning on their shoulder! I bought the Cushtie pillow before a long journey overseas and found it extremely comfortable and extremely handy. I used it on the coach, on the plane and even in the hotel to pump up the pathetically thin pillow in the hotel room. It is light enough to travel around comfortably and does not take up too much room. I go camping quite a lot through the year and I have previously owned an ... more

Advantages Advantages good for added snuggleability.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Not washable.

I’m not sure exactly how long I’ve had my cushtie, but it’s been a few years now. I do recall that I ‘bought’ it using points from one of my survey sites and was therefore able to treat myself to it without actually spending any money. So what is a Cushtie? A Cushtie is a bolster shaped cushion that’s filled with tiny beads of something (foam or polystyrene probably – a bit like what you’d get in a beanbag). The cover material on mine is stretchy so that it can be pushed and pummelled, squished and leant on and still come back to its proper shape afterwards. It’s not hugely big being about ... more

We each have a Cushtie in our house - so that's three. Me and the little lad have a blue one each and the other half has a pink one. They cost us £10 each from Debenhams and we have had them now for around a year. We bought them for different reasons - we do a lot of travelling around in the car as a family and usually the little lad and the other half will fall asleep during the journey and they use theirs as pillows. I use mine mainly for when I am watching the telly at night as I find our cushions are bit too big and uncomfortable and I like to place this behind my back as it is really ... more

Last Christmas I decided to buy a few of my friends a gift that I owned myself and found really useful. The gift I am talking about is the cushtie .For those of you who have never experienced a cushtie or have never heard of them, let me enlighten you! The cushtie is basically a fat sausage shaped pillow that you can squish into shape. It measures 39.9 x 46 x 66 cm and is very light. The cushtie has a cover made of 84% polyester and 16% polyurethane. Inside are thousands of tiny polystyrene micro-granules that allow the cushtie to mould to your body. I suffer with a bad back and find placing ... more

Advantages Advantages So soft and comfortable, light, perfect for long travels

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not a single one

I bought one of these cushions years ago and I still absolutely love it now. When I first got it I couldn't stop playing with it - it's a little bit like bubble wrap where the feel of it is just so addictive and you can't stop squeezing and squashing it. These are snug little cushions that are filled with thousands of tiny polystyrene beads with a soft polyester material on the outside. The beads make this cushion extremely soft and squishy and whenever you lean on it, they mould into shape to fit around your body and then go back into their original shape when you get off it. It feels so so ... more

Advantages Advantages Versatile and easy to carry

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can't take the cover off to wash it.

My family bought me two Cushties when I was pregnant. I found them very useful and versatile. I could put one under my bump in bed, or between my knees to make lying on my side more comfortable, put them under my feet to elevate them when my feet were swollen, and even in the arch of my back at work when sitting in office chairs. Then once the baby was born, they were great for breast feeding on, then to put behind my baby when he was learning to sit up. They're now in his nursery where he uses them to lounge around on to read his books! They're very light and easy to carry around with you and ... more
