Advantages Advantages Great for dry skin

Disadvantages Disadvantages I would like it to be a better fragrance.

Being a BzzAgent, I was lucky enough to try this product for free and am amazed at the results that I wanted to share them with you. I have very dry skin on my knees and elbows in particular so over the last couple of weeks, I ahve been using E45 to see if there is a difference in my skin condition. Well I must say that I am amazed so far. My skin is still a bit dry but a lot better than it was and I am sure that over the next few weeks, it can only get better. It is a gentle cream which is good enough to use on exzema as well and absorbs quick and easily. I like the fact that they have creams ... more

Advantages Advantages Improves skin moisture without making it greasy, family friendly, value for money

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None from me

I have over the last couple of months developed quite dry skin especially on my face and this has resulted in my skin feeling quite dry and tight particularly around the sensitive eye area. During the day I have addressed the problem by wearing a facial moisturiser specifically for dry skin but during the evening when I take my makeup off I sought an effective treatment. Having read a number of articles about E45 dermatological cream over the past year I popped a tub of this cream into my basket during a recent shopping trip to see how well it would live up to all the hype. ~The Product~ My ... more

I'm reviewing E45 Dermatological cream. It comes in pumps, tubs,or tubes. With content varying from a 50g tube to a huge tub of 350g,and prices from £2.40 up to £7. I'm reviewing the tub. Advantages Advantages Great for many ailments, no greasy marks

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

E45 treats and soothe dry, itching, flaking, chapped, rough and calloused skin, sunburn and detergent hands. I have used E45 for years for dry patches of skin that I get occasionally and my husband gets psoriasis on his elbows. Now I also use it for my little boy's eczema. For it to take good effect you need to apply a good amount to the effective area 3 - 4 times a day. On application it instantly eases itching and soaks into the area without leaving a greasy feeling on the skin. After 24 hours of application all 3 cases there was a marked improvement and with in 72 hours there was no trace ... more

Advantages Advantages works well on cracked skin

Disadvantages Disadvantages make sure you don't let small children eat it

My poor toddler has very dry hands at the moment, and we're not sure if it's just the cold weather that's been affecting her delicate skin, or whether she is going to be prone to dry skin. The other day the skin around her knuckles cracked and looked quite sore, so I was scrabbling around for some cream to help her. We had the choice of sudocream or E45 cream, and I chose the sudocream first, but due to its consistency, and having to put it on my daughter's hands, we realised this may not be the most suitable as she was immobile until the cream disappeared. We decided to try the E45 cream as ... more

Advantages Advantages Lots of uses, absorbs quickly, does the job

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

I don't have a dry skin problem but sometimes my hands can become a little dry, particularly after washing up or general cleaning duties. My mum recommended this E45 cream, I always remember us having a pot of this in the cupboard when I lived at home. Packaging The 50g tube of E45 cream comes in very basic packaging. The tube is white in colour and states is dermatological E45 cream, treatment for dry skin condition. The back of the tube states that the cream has been clinically proven to help soothe dry, flaking and various other skin complaints. It also states that the cream is suitable for ... more

Advantages Advantages I do love it it works well

Disadvantages Disadvantages I don't have any

I have used E45 Cream in our house since the children were small and I still always have a big tub of it in my medicine cupboard in the house for emergencies when the grandkids come or I use it for myself for my dry and chapped skin on my hands, my face, feet, legs andelbows. It was our doctor who first recommended this many years ago and you can buy it most places and its about one pounds for a big tub but I get mine on prescription now. You can get this from any decent chemist and all the supermarkets I have been to. It has got a long shelf life and it lasts for ages but if you keep it for ... more

    Advantages Advantages price, works well

Disadvantages Disadvantages personally I prefer sudo cream

ecently I got a skin rash, so I bought some of this in a small tube from Tesco which cost less than £3. The tube was small and came packaged inside a small white cardboard piece of packaging. I had never used this before, as I normally use Sudo Cream, but I was in a rush and couldn't be bothered looking for sudo cream, so I just grabbed this instead. There isn't much difference in the price, and I had heard all good things about this anyway. I've heard that E45 Cream has been clinically proven to treat and soothe dry, itching, flaking, chapped, rough and calloused skin, sunburn and detergent ... more

Advantages Advantages Great for dry skin - absorbs quite quickly - cheap

Disadvantages Disadvantages Smells oily - irritates my eczema

Since birth I have been cursed with very sensitive skin. At the moment I have some serious eczema on my hands, whilst this is an improvement on having it on your face, it's still pretty annoying! Especially as when creams are put on your hands, they tend to get everywhere if you aren't careful. I've tried pretty much everything, I've spent a small fortune in the last few weeks on prescriptions and over the counter creams but nothing seems to have the desired effect. With the eczema comes really dry skin and my normal almond hand cream of choice from the Body Shop just seems to react with the ... more

The cream itself can be prescribed by a doctor or it can be bought from a chemist or stores like Boots and Superdrug. I bought the 50g tube.
