    Advantages Advantages econ sounds good but so does everything at LSE

    Disadvantages Disadvantages dont feel changing course is backing down

    London School of Economics you would think is the place to study economics. Well it is but this is not all important. It is fairly obvbious if you are at this excellent university that you know a fair bit. I started on a maths and economics degree last october and found out that I hated it. I never had done economics which made the course quite tough, although my attendance to lectures was minimal. The Maths was just plain boring and far too pure. So I thought I would switch to Business, Mathematics and Statistics. This may sound similar but offers a lot more choice and allowed me to do ... more

    Advantages Advantages World class, some interesting courses, challenging, stimulating sometimes

    Disadvantages Disadvantages The rush, some of the part time teachers, some of the topics, the exams, no lawns to have picnics at.

    ++Welcome… The LSE offers a world renowned Economics course, but then again I would say that because I am taking it. The staff responsible for the courses have changed in the time since I have started, but the fundamentals remain the fundamentals. Before you start saying “tsk, the LSE is just a name, it’s not really a campus etc” this opinion is not really about that, the people there are still human and I don’t see having picnics on the grass at lunchtime as the most important feature of my degree.
