    Disadvantages Disadvantages Lack of experience,some great players like Flintoff are not in the squad

    The English get ready for the World Cup2011.The actions begins on Feb 19,2011 in India,Sri Lanka and Bangladesh as they are the hosts.The other teams are also stong,some of them are INDIA,AUSTRALIA,SRI LANKA,SOUTH AFRICA,etc. The main strength of the Enlish side is their batting and fielding,while their bowlers are not performing upto the mark.This was the main reason for their lost in the ODI series against the Aussies after their great victory in the ASHES. or England,captain ANDREW STRAUSS and ALASTAIR COOK will be looking to give a strong start to their sibe,while TROTT is their main ... more

    The great irony of the ECBs increasing moves to reduce the number of South Africans in the domestic English game so to help young English players come through has seen the ECB increasingly pick players born in South Africa to play for England, Trot the latest, a guy who played all his cricket in his native Western province, only his English mom the connection. With 15 South African born guys lining up in Pretoria for the first test on the England tour this winter I certainly think we are going too far by selecting Trott.     Advantages Advantages their batting attack is very solid.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages their players not play upto their potential.

    england cricket team is a very good side with a good batting attack but sometimes seems to me that they are not playing upto their potential. I think kevin pietersen should open the batting with matt prior in one days and they should also give chance to steven harmison. I know he is not upto the mark which his team expecting from him but they should give some chances. I think england team has a great chance in the T-20 world cup because they are tough to beat in their home ground.They should also give some chances to young ones like luke wright who is accordind to me he is a great all-rounder ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages may still not beat the aussies

    A couple of years ago many, including myself were thinking is there any chance that England can beat the Aussies when they come over to play them. BUT.................................. England's performances are growing with ever game and all of the players, really want to win, yes England really want to win and thats just what there doing first Bangladesh and then the well know and very strong West Indies, this was something that no one expected.     In England's current test series against the West Indies in the caribbean, England are doing to the West Indies what the great West Indian sides of the past used to do to England ..... totally anhilate them.     1-0 down, 3 to play. As we go into the 3rd Test at Trent Bridge next Thursday, the only positive thought English cricket can have is that the only way is up. Having been outclassed for two successive Tests and avoiding defeat in the first Test only by virtue of the weather, England have to seriously improve their performances as the game in Nottingham is a 'must-win'. With a new captain appointed for the match at Lord's, and with Michael Vaughan having only 3 days to prepare his team, we couldn't really have expected too much.     Anyone who is anyone knows that there is a vital cricket match today (2nd March 2003). England need to beat Australia to have any real chance of progressing in the Cricket World Cup. In order to raise the spirits of the nation, I thought I would write a review about my greatest sporting moment. I love the game of cricket.
