    Advantages Advantages None

Disadvantages Disadvantages Loud, expensive, poor mileage, no power at all, will constantly break down... Could go on

This car is probably the worst car ive ever owned The ride is terrible, almost every bump is felt. In addition, there are endless problems with the vehicle, i get 20mpg for a 1.4! and it drives like S***... Never in my life have i driven such a gutless car My vehicle has 28,000 miles covered, and it drives like it has done at least 200,000 For a 1.4, it struggles to pull uphill and has to be really revved hard, let alone with 4 people in the vehicle. Interior refinement is poor, with a lack of electric windows, air conditioning and so on however the height adjustments of the seat and steering ... more

    Advantages Advantages very very economical

Disadvantages Disadvantages always problems with the rear screen wash

I have now had 3 bravas and to be honest would not look at driving another car in the forseeable future. These motors are low maintainance reliable and very very economical. I run mine on roughly £15 a fortnight The cars are spacious and the boot space is phenomonal. the only gripe that i do have with these cars is the rear windscreen wiper motor can be tempremental and also the rear screen wash jets never seem to work. Other than that if you want a reliable economical car then this is for you. I have 2 boys and it meets my needs and there needs to a tee. It may not be the most modern car on ... more

    Advantages Advantages economically friendly

    Disadvantages Disadvantages slow

Fiat Brava must be one of the most economic cars ever. It is a great value for money, low maintenence car, perfect for a universit graduateor a young family. Boot space is second to none so you can go for those huge weekly shops. My one didn't come with a CD player but you can get ones which do. The fitted sound system is of a very good quality, clear. Handling isn't the greatest, but ok. Accelleration is ok but the top speed is poor. It runs amazingly on motorways, at high speed, with ease and the engine is very quiet. The Fiat Brava starts very easily, and gearbox is awsome. I would hight ... more

Advantages Advantages Economical, efficient, priced reasonably

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Passenger door faulty

I bought this model new 4 years ago now, just as it was being replaced by the Stilo, so got a competitive deal from the garage. I have the 5 door version - it's quite roomy inside and although only a base model, optional extras including a 6 CD player fitted in the boot add to the comfort levels - and it was so neatly integrated into the car too. The car is a 5 speed petrol model, and has good acceleration around town. The power steering helps manoeverability when trying to park, although it lacks the parking sensor that the newer Stilo model comes with. On motorways the 1250 cc engine ... more

Advantages Advantages nice medium run around car

Disadvantages Disadvantages the problems it suffers from

Many people will rant and rave about how great the fiat brava is as a car but i would like to make car buyers and owners aware that they do suffer from certain problems. I have had my fiat for almost a year now, i do love it, no denying that, its a great car in that it looks nice, is a good size, has good petrol consumption and is great for reasonable trips....but it has its flaws which i have learnt recently are common in fiat bravas. Some not so serious problems, the car has a tendency to steam up, annoying when you get in the car in the morning. With the hot hair the from and rear ... more

Advantages Advantages plenty of leg room

    Disadvantages Disadvantages non as yet

we bought our brava 21/2 years ago and it has undecidely the best car we have bought. Because i'm disabled the doors on the brava are wider making it extremely easy for me to get in and out,as i cannot bend my leg at all. It is very comfortable and my husband says the driving is great for this car .Every thing is at hand and easy to get to,the back seats fold flat either one seat or two seats giving that extra room if needed. unleaded petrol of course and very economical even running round town or any long journeys. so all round an excellent drive, comfortable, roomy and all the safety features ... more

Advantages Advantages cheap stylish and cool

    Disadvantages Disadvantages a bit slow

I've had my Italian built Fiat Brava for about 15 months now and it has served me well to say the least. In that short period of time, it has ventured 29,000 miles, would you believe it? A huge amount of milage to be covering in that space of time, one might think. So, what have I been using it for? One might also think I have been travelling around the world in it to cover that many miles, but actually, it has just been bombing around the same area over and over and over again, from home in Kingston to University in London to Dad's house in High Wycombe and Mum's house in Princes Risborough ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap to buy cheap to run very reliable

    Disadvantages Disadvantages no abs

The Fiat Brava 80sx must be the best car value there is. You can very easily pick up this car for less than £6999 with less than 10,000 miles on the clock, and usualy less than a year old even the remaining manufacturers warranty. I find this car very economical averaging about 42mpg. The car is very reliable, and compared to other cars very good value. The car drives very well and is comfortable and stylish. I bought my Fiat Brava 80sx 13 months ago, it had 8075 miles on the clock, and was first registered in February 1999 S reg I had four Fiats prior to this one, and have been rewarded with ... more

    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages cheap, looks good, performs good

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

This car is the first car that I drove after passing my driving test in a Vauxhall Corsa. I have to say it drives and feels like a BMW. The car was bought from Trade Sales in Slough, why do I mention them? Well they are the biggest car dealer in the UK that no one knows about. They will get you a brand new car and will take about £3000+ off the list price that a dealer will sell you for it. The car itself looks much better than its partner the Brava, which at the rear looks abit ugly but every curve on this car looks good. Inside what you get for your money is very good, a high quality radio ... more

Advantages Advantages good fuel economy, god spec, stylish

Disadvantages Disadvantages interior can be a bit flimsy

This is my second Brava. Previously I had a 1.6 SX which was a very quick and able car both in the town and on the open road. In an atttempt to economise a tried out the 80 SX, which has only a 1242cc engine. I was a little sceptical at first, surely it must be underpowered. In town I expected it to perform reasonably, but was surprised by its nippiness which belies the gulf in engine size between it and the 1.6 it was about to replace. Once on the open road I was equally surprised at how quiet it was, and how easy it was to exceed the speed limit without realising! In terms of finish I have ... more
