    5 Stars Google Mail 30/11/2011

Advantages Advantages Fast. Allows us to concentrate on our mail. Ads are links to other websites (no pics or videos)

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None.

Gmail... where would i be without it. i think that Gmail is probably the easiest and most simple mail service on the internet. nothing can match to it. it has everything we need and much more. I think that the most incredible thing about about Google Mail is that the pages does not contain ads in video format or picture format, and so It allows me to concentrate on my Mails only. I also think that the way that Google Mail allows us view pictures on a new tab on is also makes life so much more easier and quicker, as you dont have to download the file if you just want to view it. and when you ... more

    5 Stars Gmail Email! 03/05/2011

Advantages Advantages amazing, free, easy to use, lots of memory

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

I've been using gmail for a very long time, since it was inite only and very much in the early, trial stages. It is a web based email and you just get an address like your.name@gmail.com which is pretty good as it is easy to remember and to give out to people over the phone/etc. Gmail is really simple to use, you just logon with a username (the first half of the email addy) and then a password which you set. Then you get taken to the inbox of your mail box. Gmail is pretty generous with space I think, with you being allowed 7392MB of space (eg I currently have over 8000 emails (i know I know I ... more

Gmail.com is one of many reasons why Google is so popular. Any feature you like in another email provider you will find there. Vast amounts of space and customization as well as a portal to many of Google's other free products. Settings overview: First of all, Gmail will let you choose one of fifty six or so languages to use on your interface, so English doesn't need to be your first language or in the picture at all. It is very user friendly, you can even have email forwarded to your Google account from your other email account without having to do it manually. And as if its search option ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to use and well laid out, has a chat feature

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can't mark emails as important/high priority when you're sending them

Having used hotmail and outlook and express and the mac version, I have found that gmail provides the best email service. The new layout allows you to split your emails up in various states of priority; you can mark emails as high priority and gmail puts these emails into one section; you can star some emails which are put into their own sections and then you can have normal emails that have low priority, which stay in their own section. You can chose what order the emails are shown e.g. date, who from, size etc You can also create your own subfolders which get listed on the left. You can have ... more

Advantages Advantages Layout, Memory, Reliability of Server etc

Disadvantages Disadvantages Google are trying to be too clever!

Google Mail is a fantastic mail providor. It gives you over 7MB of memory and it it is still counting and I love the layout of your inbox and the design of it. The Navigation on the site is very good as well, and I find it very quick to open up emails, change or put emails in different folders and to update your account. Google Mail has lots of features some of which I think are a great idea, l;ike being able to choose your own themes - which are updated regularly, but I dislike the idea that you can be able to chat with other users of Google Mail, and another one of their ideas, Gogle Buzz ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to use , especially for the non - technical people

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Limits on attachements

In my opinion Gmail is very easy to use from signing up to using to email friends, family and business colleagues. The other day I signed my wife up for a new email address and it took five minutes to do. The hardest thing to do is to find an email address that has not been used before. The best way to overome this is to put in what email address you would like and then google will suggest some (usually preceeded with some numbers) if it has been taken. Gmail is set out well on the screen showing your first 50 email, and the time and date sent. On the left hand side you have the options to see ... more

Advantages Advantages quick, simple and easy to set up

Disadvantages Disadvantages takes a while to get used to it.

i used to be a hotmail user, but recently i switched to gmail. I was impressed by the size of the inbox capacity. it is extremely easy to use and set up, i found it simpler than outlook express, as it was web based so you don't have to input any of the POP3 serer jargon that not many people understand. I would recommend this mail provider to anyone ***** However, it took me a little while to get used to the layout, as it is not all that intuitive, and for this reason, Microsoft outlook has a advantage. But, the service always works quickly and efficiently. It also has a function which allows ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to use. Theres a lot of advantages written in my review

Disadvantages Disadvantages Sometimes when attaching a file it takes a while to upload.

Why did I sign up to use Gmail? Well being a teenager, I didn't care much about my emails and I got A LOT of spam and junk emails, my hotmail inbox constantly had something like '1030 unread emails' which I really couldn't be bothered to sort through! I found signing into Gmail a lot easier than signing into Hotmail, as you simply go through the Google website and its very easily done! When it came to UNI applications though, my emails turned important! So I decided as I use Google a lot, I should try out their email application!! And I am really happy I did this as it means I can keep track ... more

Advantages Advantages Web based, Huge storage

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

I have been using Gmail as an alternative to my work account for approximately 6 years now getting an early beta invite. Over the years I have seen it's quality and features improve significantly. What is Gmail? GMail is Google's webmail service, accessed by gmail.com. The big selling point of GMail when it initially launched was the use of Google's search knowledge in the e-mail setup. It also offered a large and constantly increasing mailbox size which currrently sits at over 7Gb of storage space. Why Webmail? The big advantage of webmail is that I can acces it from any internet enabled PC ... more

    Advantages Advantages Storage space

Disadvantages Disadvantages Big Bro is watching!

I have been using G Mail, or Google Mail as it is now more commonly known since May 2005. At that time, in order to set up an account an invite from a current user was required. Each user had 50 people to invite. Today it's popularity has improved immensely, something that is set to continue with an increased usage of Google Chrome (free web browser). Gmail has a host of innovative features, unlimited storage being the most evident. It has the capability to save all emails sent and received. I find this the most useful feature. I'm able to look up an address I sent flowers to 5 years ago, or ... more
