Advantages Advantages It organises. It plays games, music and videos. It even changes your TV channels.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Lack of storage included, (infrequent) lockups, awkward menu buttons. No mobile phone function!

What does every gadget geek need in their life? An organiser to keep 'em on the straight and narrow, that's what. Step forward my HP iPaq 2210 PDA (that's Personal Digital Assistant, if you didn't know). The HP iPaq 2210 is a little outdated (by way of it's replacement - the hx2000 series) at the time of writing, but that doesn't mean that you can't pick a bargain up if you manage to track one down. Mine was a gift, but a search on eBay flagged a few up around the £130-£150 mark (correct as of 01-07-05). ~ Looks: A sleek brushed aluminium case, with a screen approximately 6cm by 8cm in size (2 ... more

Advantages Advantages Abundance of software, ease of use

Disadvantages Disadvantages Screen can scratch easily

The 2210 pocket PC comes with stacks of software already loaded including pocket versions of Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, Appointment manager, contacts list, notepad, calculator, Active Sync, backup, Image viewer, messenger, Microsoft reader, Windows media player, Bluetooth manager and Nevo (universal remote control), Solitaire and Jawbreaker. If the software application that you require is not already loaded onto your Pocket PC, I am sure that you can find a suitable program on the many supporting web sites. I have found Diet Plan software, Cricket and Golf scoring applications, Password ... more

Advantages Advantages Long battery life, easy expandability, easy to use, relatively cheap

Disadvantages Disadvantages Side grips fall off, 4-way navigation button loose, very low memory capacity

I bought this PDA about 3 years ago. It was my first proper device of this type (I have only had Psion's in the past). At the time when I bought it, the price was £230 from Office World, I first picked up one of their catalogues from my local store and looked through all the Pocket PCs in there, did a bit of research on the internet to find out what other people were saying about the different models and in the end decided to go for the 2210, mainly because it was one of the cheaper models and I saw it was spoken highly of on many websites, and also that it had all the features that I required ... more

Advantages Advantages Does the job extremley well

Disadvantages Disadvantages Memory not the best on the market

The HP iPAQ Pocket PC h2210 is perhaps on of the best pockect pc's on the market its fast reliable and does the job well, whether you want it for work or just for its movie and music playing capabilitys this is the one for you. The HP iPAQ Pocket PC h2210 is now reasnobly cheap for a PDA and has exellent programs for work purposes like pocket word and exel plus many more and others wich can be brought separately. The graphics are outstanding with just about no faults. This is backed up by a processor speed of 400Mhz wich is fast compared to others on the market, but isnt fast enough to ... more

Advantages Advantages the pda is small and sleek and has many features

Disadvantages Disadvantages the PDA doesn't have a built in wireless networking card, The nice squishy rubber grip bars sometiems fall off

I remember when HP'S IPAQ series was introduced, back in April 2000. I thought, Why buy one now? If I wait a few years they'll release superior models, packed with dozens more features. Although technolagy does and allways will improve every day, now is the time to make an investment. Whilst a lot of PDA's in the market are hideously ugly, the design of the H2210 is nothing short of outstanding, it's a very small and slim device, it has grip on each side and fit's in your hand perfectly. You can ignore the saying, "Never judge a book by its cover" because it's appearance is nothing compared to ... more

Advantages Advantages Size, flexibility and connectivity

Disadvantages Disadvantages Software downloads can be expensive

Having used a Psion Revo for the last 5 years to organise my life and having developed an affiliation with that particular piece of equipment, entering into the market for a replacement filled me with more than a little trepidation. The Psion, and particularly it's quirkiness, had become second nature to me and I felt that I would be lost without it. I needn't have worried. Having finally taken the plunge I decided to purchase the HP iPAQ 2210 (with more than a little help from Ciao) and I am delighted with my choice. The first thing that is immediately noticeable when opening the box is that ... more

Advantages Advantages multiple connectivity and storage options

Disadvantages Disadvantages little low on internal memory, streaming video too difficult.

This little handheld is best described as a "jack of all trades". I use it for all of my portable needs. Not only can I keep track of all of my appointments, I can keep track of my business on microsoft pocket Excel. I can write letters on pocket MS Word but I can also watch my favourite movies and recorded TV programmes in full screen. The ipaq h2210 has something to offer people of all technical abilities. It is equipped with both infra-red and bluetooth connectivity, allowing connections to mobile phones and other bluetooth devices. This ipaq comes with built in remote control software ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

I bought my Hewlett Packard iPAQ H2210 Pocket PC two weeks ago; inside the box you can find the following: The PDA itself, a cradle, a charger, supplied case and a charger converter. It looks very small indeed and it is made from plastic and feels pretty solid, it has some rubber grips to protect your PDA just in case it falls down. The screen of the h22219 is pretty clear it has a 3.5 screen capable of displaying 320x240 screen resolution. Right in the middle of the screen is where you can find the HP logo and the power button and at the left of the HP logo is where the Bluetooth indicator ... more
